Sayre to remove snow piles Sunday
The Sayre Borough Department of Public Works will be removing snow piles in the downtown area beginning at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30 and continuing until completed.
Parking will be restricted beginning at 6 p.m. on Desmond Street between Cross and Hayden streets, North Elmer Avenue between West Lockhart and Cross streets, South Elmer Avenue between West Lockhart Street and West Packer Avenue, and West Lockhart Street between Desmond Street and South Wilbur Avenue.
Parking will be restricted beginning at 9:30 p.m. on South Elmer Avenue between West Packer Avenue and Hayden Street, West Packer Avenue between Desmond Street and South Wilbur Avenue, Park Place between South Elmer and South Wilbur avenues, and Hayden Street between South Elmer and South Lehigh avenues.
Traffic restrictions and road closures will be in place on these streets when crews are working until the street is totally clear of snow piles.
Individuals planning on going to the Sayre Theatre Sunday evening for a 6:45 p.m. showing will be able to park around Howard Elmer Park and on South Elmer Avenue south of West Packer Avenue until 9:30 p.m.
Residents living in the downtown area must utilize off-street parking or park in the borough's municipal parking facilities on South Lehigh Avenue.
