Armenia Township supervisors have passed a tentative budget that doesn't raise taxes.

The action was taken at the supervisors' budget meeting recently.

According to the meeting minutes, township treasurer Gary Horning presented a tentative budget, which was discussed and revised. A motion was then made and passed to approve the tentative budget, reflecting no change in the real estate tax rate of six mills.

The budget will be available for inspection at Horning's office on Canton Street in Troy, according to township secretary Mallory Babcock. Information regarding the exact amount of the budget will be available in the near future, as the numbers are being worked on currently.

The final budget will be voted on at the supervisors' meeting in December.

They will meet at 7 p.m. Dec. 12 at the Covert Church Annex.
