Bike Night draws a heavy crowd in Owego, N.Y.
Bike Night at the Owego Parkview Hotel and Restaurant in Owego, N.Y. saw a good crowd on Wednesday as the skies cleared for the day and into the evening. Wednesday's featured band, Hover, provided two and a half hours of entertainment for those arriving for this weekly event.
Hover, comprised of high school students out of Owego, N.Y., rocked the crowd with covers performed from U2 and 3-Doors Down, and also pulled out some originals.
This young band has drawn national attention over the years, to include performing at a Cystic Fibrosis Fundraiser held recently in New York City. The band was also slated to perform at this year's Owego Strawberry Festival.
As for the owner of the Parkview Hotel and Restaurant, Beth Johnson, she was pleased with the number of motorcycles that arrived Wednesday, and thanked the cooperation of the weather for the success of Wednesday's event.
Next week One Click Culture will perform under the tent for Bike Night from 6:30 to 9 p.m. The Bike Night event begins at 6 p.m. All are welcome to this free event, and motorcycles are not a requirement. Guests can listen to live entertainment, browse through the wares brought by artists at the "Bike Night Art Park" held at neighboring Draper Park, or just stroll and view the motorcycles arriving for the event.
This event is sponsored by the Owego Pennysaver, The Daily and Sunday Review, Skyview Drags and Shangri-La II.
