No bombs were found at the Cargill Meat Solutions plant in Wyalusing after a threat was called in Tuesday afternoon, officials said.

State police at Towanda received an anonymous call just before 3 p.m. Tuesday stating that one or more bombs were located at the beef processing facility, according to Cargill spokesman Mike Martin.

Upon notification from police, officials at the plant activated its security plan. The threat was investigated by Cargill's on-site security team, state police said.

A sweep of the building by Cargill security and state police officers turned up no bombs, Martin said.

Police continued Tuesday evening to investigate the threat, he said.
