Cargill, Wyalusing announces very successful United Way campaign
Raising $155,000 from very generous Cargill employees, the United Way of Bradford County and Cargill are proud to announce the results of a very successful campaign to benefit 44 agencies in Bradford and Sullivan counties.
Thanks to the generosity of so many Cargill employees, the United Way of Bradford County continues to achieve much success in serving the needs of individuals and families in the communities throughout Bradford County and surrounding areas. To show their appreciation for support to the United Way Campaign, Cargill hosted a "Leaders in Giving Dinner" on Jan. 16 for Cargill employees who supported United Way at a leadership giving level. At this event, Cargill General Manager Andy Ripic III presented a check to United Way of Bradford County in the amount of $155,000 - signifying the amount of donations given by Cargill employees ($125,000) and the company ($30,000.)
Because of the support, enthusiasm, and dedication of Cargill to the United Way and the community at large, United Way of Bradford County is able to reach their 2013 Fundraising Goal of $400,000 for 2013 - which will be dispersed to 44 local agencies who serve a variety of needs in our communities.
The United Way of Bradford County is very thankful to Cargill for all their support! "Simply put, the United Way of Bradford County would not be able to help as many people as we do without the support we have from Cargill employees," states United Way's Executive Director, Kerri Strauss.
United Way is very thankful to Cargill for being a true leader of community giving and volunteerism.
