WELLSBORO, Pa. - Melanie Gallagher Sparbanie, a lifetime resident of Bradford County with 15 years of banking and investment experience, has been named vice president and business development specialist for Citizens & Northern Bank. She will work from the bank's Towanda office.

In her new position, Sparbanie will deliver the best possible financial solutions for both personal and business clients by understanding and developing partnerships that create long-lasting relationships, according to a press release issued by C&N Bank. She will assist in all stages of a client's financial needs, from lending to investment planning.

A graduate of Northeast Bradford High School, she attended Broome Community and Keystone Colleges. She holds her life, accident and health licenses, as well as Series 6, 63, 65 and 7 FINRA licenses.

A 15-year banking and investment veteran, she has worked in Pennsylvania and New York States. She was most recently employed with M&T Securities where she held the position of vice president and financial consultant. Her banking experience ranges from serving as a teller to a multi-site branch manager.

Sparbanie and her husband, Chad, have three children, Bradley, Cameron and Olivia, all of whom attend Towanda area schools.
