ATHENS - Dr. Thomas Horn and Dr. Nate Callear announced the addition of Dr. Sarah Taylor to their team at Horn Family Chiropractic located on Route 220 in Athens.

Dr. Sarah Taylor is a native of Troy, Pa. She completed her bachelor's degree in Kinesiology with a focus in Movement Science from the Pennsylvania State University. During her time at Penn State, she also worked as a Biomechanics Research Assistant in the Neuromotion Laboratory. Following her graduation from Penn State, Sarah became involved in the health and wellness of the local community by working as both a personal trainer and physical therapy technician.

Dr. Taylor received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College in November of 2013, graduating with honors. While a chiropractic student, Dr. Sarah completed several clinical rotations including wellness care at the Seneca Falls Health Center, long-term palliative care at Monroe Community Hospital, student and athlete care at St. John Fisher College, and rotations at the Rochester VA Hospital and Mercy Outreach Center.

In addition to her various clinical rotations, Dr. Taylor was selected nationally as both a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Intern and a Chiropractic Intern at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Md. While at Walter Reed, she was able to provide chiropractic care to active duty members of the United States Military, including our nation's Wounded Warriors, under the mentorship of Dr. Terrence Kearney and Dr. Keith Myers. In conjunction with this internship, Dr. Taylor served as a Chiropractic Intern at the United States Naval Academy, providing chiropractic care to the members of the Navy Midshipmen Football team.

Dr. Taylor has an interest in treating the local communities' athletes. She has completed advanced training in sports performance and rehabilitation. Following her passion for holistic wellness and nutrition, Dr. Taylor furthered her nutritional background and was awarded an advanced certificate in Whole Foods Nutrition. In addition to athletes, Dr. Taylor also has a unique interest in treating women and children. She has completed several Women's Health courses and is certified in the Webster technique - a chiropractic adjustment used to help balance a mother's pelvis during pregnancy. Dr. Taylor is affiliated with both the American Chiropractic Association and the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. Dr. Taylor looks forward to providing quality, chiropractic care to the people of Bradford County and the surrounding areas.
