Tioga State Bank has announced that Robert M. Fisher, current President and Chief Executive Officer, has been named Chairman of the Board. Marvin L. Fisher II, retired as Chairman of Board after 49 years of service with Tioga State Bank.

"I am excited to take on this new role as Chairman of the Board," said Robert M. Fisher, President & CEO. "I am also grateful for the guidance my father has provided me throughout the years and appreciate his dedication to Tioga State Bank. He helped build the foundation for our success. My father is looking forward to his retirement and beginning a new chapter in his life."

Robert has been with Tioga State Bank for 20 years and began his career at the bank as a Consumer Loan Officer. He has held many positions throughout the bank over the last 20 years.

Robert is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, he is a distinguished graduate of the Specialized Undergraduate Navigator Training with the United States Air Force, a graduate of the New York Banker's Association Consumer Credit School and Management School for Career Development, a graduate of the Leadership Development program at the Center for Creative Leadership, and a graduate of Stonier Graduate School of Banking.

Robert is heavily involved in state and federal banking organizations that include: Independent Community Bankers (ICBA) Board of Directors, 2010 - present; ICBA Lending Committee Chairman, 2011 to present; ICBA Lending Committee, 2010 - present; and the New York State Banking Board. He has served with the following organizations in a variety of capacities in the past: New York Banking Association, New York Bankers Services Corporation, and the Independent Bankers Association of New York State.

Robert resides in Owego, N.Y. with his wife, Beth, and their three children.
