Williams Kia of Sayre, located at 222 Spring St., held its official grand opening and a ribbon cutting Monday.

The business, which sells new Kias and assorted used cars, employs 10 people and has Kevin Horn as general manager.

On Monday, those attending the grand opening and ribbon cutting were Randy Williams, president of Williams Auto Group, state Rep. Tina Pickett; Sayre Mayor Denny Thomas; Nissan sales manager Jim Lister; Honda sales manager Brad Lister; Toyota sales manager Dave Lundy; Linda Murrelle from the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce; and Dave Jarrett, Sayre Borough manager.

The hours of operation for the business are Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. In addition to the sales department, there are service and parts departments.

Tom Howe, general sales manager, said Williams Kia has been operating for two weeks and business has been good.

"Great" reviews of the Kia Sorento have resulted in people stopping by and asking about the vehicles, he said.

Howe also noted that people have expressed interest in the Kia Soul and Forte.
