The grandparents of students at Epiphany School filled the Sayre school's gymnasium Friday to celebrate the school's annual Grandparents' Day. Following a prayer service, grandparents and "substitute grandparents" were invited to tour students' classrooms and enjoy refreshments. Fr. Andrew Hvozdovic of Epiphany Parish addressed the group with a brief history of Grandparents' Day, celebrated nationally in September, and reflected on the importance of "the strength, information and guidance that older people can offer." School staff enjoy celebrating the day each year, said principal Sr. Kathleen Kelly.
