Craftsmen of the Endless Mountains (CEM) is proud to announce its 23rd Annual Country Arts & Craft show in Dushore this weekend, according to a news release.

The news release continues:

The spirit of American labor and innovation is on display with these craftsmen and artisans hard work and devotion to their craft. Some of the vendors will be demonstrating how their wares are made.

It all takes place at the Dushore Railroad Station on Railroad Street in Dushore. This family friendly event will be held rain or shine from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily on Sept. 4-5. There will be lunch available both days, and as always admission and parking are free.

There is sure to be something available for every taste and style. Among the vendors joining the event this year are: Hands on rECOvery, Tunkhannock with recycled, eco-friendly creations for yourself and your home; Scents by Marie of Bloomsburg with handmade glycerin soaps, lotions, candles and gift baskets; Peggy Huffman of Wyalusing with Barbie doll clothes, sterling silver and stone jewelry; Craftin Critters of East Smithfield with decorative painted items, holiday decorations; New Beginnings Ministry of Canton with bird houses, planters and plant stands; Kriemeld Chaffee, a renowned knitter from Towanda with hand knit sweaters; Stone Arch Wood Craft of Lopez with quilt hangers, shelves, benches, candle holders; Carolyn Sechrist from Williamsport with handmade soap; Lynda Hatches of Eagles Mere with handcrafted silver, gold, copper and brass jewelry, wire works accessories and her very own Pony Dust Cosmetics, which includes her whipped soaps; Craig Fowler of Eagles Mere with wooden spoons, spatulas and home décor kitchen utensils; New Era Creations of New Albany with hand-spun yarn knit and crochet items; The Wood Studio of Fulton N.Y. decorative wood items, personalized scroll work ornaments and hand carvings; Marian Thurston of Towanda with designs welcome lamps, floral arrangements, etched glassware and decoupage; Marti Lee-Bogart, an artists' and painting instructor from Northumberland, Pa. who will be demonstrating and selling her original paintings; Colonial Quilts of Owego N.Y. with quilted items for the home; Mary Rajkiewicz of Harleigh, Pa. with handcrafted beaded jewelry; Delectable Deserts of Ulster with their baked goods to delight the most discriminating of palates; Toni Madden from Towanda, a primitive textile artist who creates seasonal decorations for your home; Hawk Hill Farms from Wysox with goat milk soap; Linda Amos of Scranton offering textile and soft sculpture designs; Fayne Passmore of Gillett with hand-painted glassware, jewelry; Samera Throckmorton from Athens with seasonal floral wreaths; Kay Dunham from Eagles Mere has pet items and jewelry; Rainy Day Knit and Sew of Rome, Pa. with quilted items for the home, fall décor and textile creations; Jean Zoppa Bennett from Ulster, who paints her original designs on saw blades and other items; and Diane Geiger from Waverly, N.Y., who creates bird houses.

CEM is the region's foremost association of juried craftsmen and artisans. Founded in 1963, its mission is the promotion and education about arts and crafts from the Endless Mountain region. Its membership currently spans seven counties in Pennsylvania and New York.
