Clapper Hill Road reopening to traffic following repairs

State Route 1001, Clapper Hill Road, in Tuscarora and Stevens townships was reopened to traffic on Wednesday afternoon, according to a press release from PennDOT.

The release continues:

The road was temporarily closed, except to local traffic, due to severe deterioration.

This road carries a year-round, 10-ton weight restriction.

Responsible parties have completed repairs to restore the roadway to a safe and passable condition for the traveling public.

Now the indifferent township supervisors, PennDot and Chesapeake Gas can start on the other adjacent roads they've destroyed while Clapper Hill was bring repaired

It may be considered safe and passable by someone, but it sure isn't as good as or even better than its original condition as the gas companies like to promise the townships and any people who are still willing to listen. They came and dumped a lot of rock on a road that was paved but went to dirt and mud due to gas traffic. It is not repaired to original condition. I guess that happens 50 years from now when the wells are played out. Hope everyone likes driving on rock, because that is what you're getting.
