Clean up to be held in Monroe Borough

Monroe Borough is hosting a spring clean-up on from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Friday, April 19 and from 8 a.m. until noon on Saturday, April 30. The clean up will be located at the intersection of Route 414 and Hindman Street.

The following items will be accepted: metals, furniture, accumulated junk and wood. Appliances that have Freon will have a $5 fee. A container for "covered devices" will be on hand for desktop computers, monitors, laptops, televisions and computer peripherals. (printers, copiers, keyboards, mice, cables, etc.)

The following items will not be accepted: special waste (paint solvent, oil, etc.), household garbage, large quantities of construction/demolition waste or items that need to be shoveled (shingles, etc.).

A borough employee will be on site to direct and assist, proof of borough residency may be asked of anyone participating. This is for Monroe Borough residents only.
