Two charged by PLCB
Two people from Sayre were cited by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board recently on a charge of improperly bringing alcoholic beverages into the state.
According to information provided by the PLCB, David Cole, 29, and Brenda Williams, 42, were cited for purchasing alcoholic beverages out of state, and not following proper protocol for bringing alcoholic beverages into Pennsylvania. Conviction for such a summary offense, according to the PLCB, is a $25 fine, plus the cost of prosecution.
Theft reported in Smithfield Township
State police are investigating a theft that occurred on Searfoss Road in Smithfield Township.
According to state police, unknown perpetrators removed tractor parts from a storage trailer. The incident occurred between August and Oct. 4, police said.

Burglary occurs in Rome Township
State police are investigating a burglary reported at Brenchley Lake Campground in Rome Township.
Police said the perpetrators broke into travel trailers owned by two unidentified victims - both of whom live in Athens. The incident occurred between May 24 and June 2, 2009. Police said their investigation is continuing.
Man arrested
State police at Towanda said Michael J. Lydon, 59, of Towanda was found passed out in his vehicle at 11:44 a.m. Oct. 5 on Madigan Road in Burlington Township.
Police said he was arrested for DUI, and charges will be filed pending blood alcohol results.
Signs stolen
State police at Towanda said someone stole road signs sometime between 3:30 p.m. Sept. 16 and 3:30 p.m. Oct. 2 on Millstone Road in Overton Township.

Mailbox smashed
State police at Towanda said someone used a square type of instrument to smash a mailbox belonging to a 33-year-old Gillett female between Oct. 2-3 on Berrytown Road in Springfield Township near the Steele Farm.

Cigars taken
State police at Towanda said a white male who appeared to be in his mid-20s with brown hair and trimmed "chinstrap" facial hair and wearing a red/white hat with a Dodge emblem, a black t-shirt, and baggy blue jeans ran out of Smokin' Joe's at 5 p.m. Sept. 15 on Route 14 in South Creek Township with two boxes of cigars and fled on foot.

Person injured
State police at Towanda said Spencer S. Campbell, 19, of Freehold, N.J., had a minor injury in a one-vehicle accident at 1:15 p.m. Oct. 3 on State Route 414 in LeRoy Township.
Police said Spencer was driving a 2006 BMW west and traveled off the north shoulder. His vehicle entered a ditch and overturned.
Police said he was charged.
Former witness in Harris case arrested in Candor, N.Y.
The key witness who testified during the Calvin Harris murder trial this summer was arrested and sent to jail just one day prior to Calvin Harris' sentencing on Monday for charges of second degree murder.
On Sept. 6, the Tioga County Sheriff's Office reported that Kevin C.J. Tubbs, 35, of 100 Main St., Candor, N.Y., was arrested on Sunday for charges of menacing, harrassment, criminal trespass, and endangering the welfare of a child.
According to the report, the charges resulted from an investigation into a domestic distrubance at 1327 Rt. 96, Owego, N.Y. After being arraigned before Justice Gary Dence, Town of Candor Court, Tubbs was remanded to the Tioga County Jail on $3,000 bail or $6,000 bond.
Kevin Tubbs is scheduled to appear before Justice Robert Henning, Town of Owego Court, on Oct. 8.
Man charged with harassment
An Ulster man was recently cited by state police for harassment.
According to state police, Joshua Dildine, 29, has been accused of subjecting an unidentified woman to unwanted physical contact during an altercation on Oct. 5. The charge will be filed in District Court 42-3-03.
Man accused of forgery
A Troy man has been accused by state police of forgery.
State police reported that Steven Servis, 26, has also been charged by theft by deception. Servis is accused of forging a check belonging to April Westbrook, 26, of Mildred, and presenting it to Bear Fuel Service of Benton.
Police said the charges will be filed in District Court 44-3-03.
