Three arrested in Wyalusing theft

The following people have been arrested in connection with the theft of a purse from a motor vehicle in Wyalusing: Shawn Rooke, 37, of Stevensville; Timothy Heckman Jr., 20, of Wyalusing; and Dale Whipple Jr., 24, of Wyalusing, police said.

The theft occurred between 2:45 a.m. and 2:55 a.m. on Oct. 22 in the parking lot of the Dandy Mini Mart on U.S. Route 6 in Wyalusing, police said.

The purse belongs to a 49-year-old woman from Laceyville, according to the state police at Towanda.

Wyalusing woman charged with DUI

Tiffany D. Jenner, 24, of Wyalusing was recently arrested for DUI along U.S. Route 6 in Wysox Township, police said.

The arrest occurred after police pulled over Jenner for vehicle code violations, state police said. The traffic stop occurred at approximately 12:58 a.m. on Nov. 9, police said.

A DUI charge will be filed against Jenner pending the results of a test to determine the amount of alcohol that was in her blood, according to the state police at Towanda.

Dushore woman cited for retail theft

Valerie Land, 27 of Dushore has been charged with the summary offense of retail theft after she stole items from the Dushore Market in Dushore, police said.

The theft occurred at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, according to the state police at Laporte.

Man charged with DUI

Raymond Michael Shaffer, 26, of New Albany RR 2 has been arrested for DUI in Elkland Township, police said.

The arrest occurred after Shaffer was observed committing numerous traffic violations, police said.

This incident occurred at 1:56 a.m. Sunday on Elk Lick Road, according to the state police at Laporte.

Besides DUI, Shaffer will be charged with a number of traffic violations, police said.
