DUI checkpoints to be set up
Troopers from the state police's Towanda barracks will be conducting traffic checkpoints as part of the Selective Traffic Enforcement Against Drunk Driving Initiative, the state police said in a press release that they issued this week.
These checkpoints will be held in conjunction with the Bradford County DUI Task Force in the upcoming months, the press release said.
Hit-and-run crash in Wysox Twp.
A mailbox and newspaper box on the property of a Wysox Township man were damaged in a recent hit-and-run accident, police said.
The crash occurred sometime between 9 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Sunday, according to the state police at Towanda.
Burglary occurs in Terry Twp.
A burglar used force to gain entry to a residence recently on Lone Mary Road in Terry Township, police said.
Prescription medication was stolen during the burglary, which took place between 12:30 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, according to the state police at Towanda.

Man cited for harassment in Windham Twp.
Richard Donavan Griswold Jr. of Natchitoches, La., was cited for harassment recently in connection with an incident in Bradford County, police said.
The citation was filed because the 59-year-old Griswold allegedly telephoned a 62-year-old Rome woman after she told him not to call anymore, police said.
The incident occurred at 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 11 in Windham Township, according to the state police at Towanda.
