Hit-and-run crash occurs in Towanda
A parked car on North Main Street in Towanda Borough was struck recently by a hit-and-run driver, borough police said.
The vehicle is owned by Jonathon Hadlock, who lives on North Main Street, police said.
The accident occurred sometime between Friday evening and 10 a.m. Saturday morning on the 100 block of North Main Street, police said.
Towanda police say they are trying to determine the identity of the hit-and-run driver, who may have been driving a green vehicle, police said.

Burglary occurs in Franklin Twp.
A burglary recently occurred at a location on Long Valley Road in Franklin Township, police said.
Sometime between Feb. 1 and Feb. 19, someone forcibly entered the property and stole two-way radios, video-game systems and hunting and fishing articles, police said.
The property where the burglary occurred is owned by a 38-year-old man from Plymouth, Pa., according to the state police at Towanda.
Object strikes windshield in Wysox Twp.
Someone recently threw an object that struck the windshield of a vehicle that was traveling east on U.S. Route 6 in Wysox Township, police said.
The vehicle is owned by a trucking company from Florida, state police said.
The incident occurred at approximately 3:30 a.m. Saturday near the Dandy Mini Mart, police said.

Troy man cited for harassment
Richard W. Brown, 39, of Troy is accused of trying to pull Edward T. Mathers of Williamsport from his vehicle, police said.
Brown did this because Mathers had called him a vulgar name, according to the state police at Towanda. The incident began when the two got into an argument, police said.
As a result of this incident, a non-traffic citation for harassment was filed against Brown, police said. Also, a non-traffic citation for disorderly conduct was filed against Mathers, who is 40 years old, police said.
The incident occurred at 6:22 p.m. Thursday at a location along Wickham Falls Road in Monroe Township, according to the state police at Towanda.
Mildred residents charged with insurance fraud
Jason Kyle Vandermark, 27, of Mildred is accused of deliberately causing scratches on his vehicle and then telling the state police that someone else had caused the damage, police said.
Vandermark then participated in the filing of a claim with his auto insurance company for a payout, police said.
Vandermark's girlfriend, 34-year-old Misty Lynn Smith of Mildred, called in the damage claim to the insurance company, police said.
As a result of this incident, Vandermark and Smith, who live on state Route 487, were both charged with insurance fraud, which is a third-degree felony, police said.
Vandermark was also charged with making a false report to law enforcement authorities, state police at Towanda said.
Vandermark damaged his own vehicle on Aug. 16 outside the Towanda Middle School, police said. In his false report, Vandermark claimed the vehicle was damaged in Wyalusing Borough, police said.
Vandermark and Smith were both arraigned by Towanda Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark on Feb. 17.
Vandermark and Smith were released on non-monetary bail pending their preliminary hearings on Wednesday in Towanda District Court.
