Juveniles cited
State police at Towanda said a 16-year-old Troy male and a 17-year-old Troy female will receive harassment citations after the girl contacted police to report a physical altercation with her brother at 3 p.m. March 13 on state Route 3019 in Granville Township.
No one injured
State police at Mansfield said Stephanie R. Castle, 21, of Canton, wasn't injured in a one-vehicle accident at 11:50 p.m. March 12 in Union Township, Tioga County.
Police said she was traveling south on Route 14 and lost control of her Saturn SL on the wet road. It crossed into the oncoming travel lane and exited the roadway off the east berm, rolling over onto its passenger side and coming to rest in a body of water. The Canton Fire Department assisted at the scene.
Dushore girl charged with harassment
Charges were recently filed against a Dushore girl for punching another Dushore girl in the head several times, state police said.
The incident occurred at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday at Sullivan County High School in Laporte, state police at Laporte said.
Towanda woman charged with assault
Jessica L. Parker, 22, of Towanda is accused of striking her boyfriend, James T. Place, in the head with deer antlers, police said.
Parker also allegedly punched Place in the face during this incident, Towanda police said.
Parker has been charged with simple assault and harassment, police said.
The incident occurred at 6:30 p.m. on March 1 at 7 Olive St., police said.
No charges will be filed against Place, Towanda police said.
Parker, who lives at 418 Bridge St., has been sent a summons that orders her to appear before Towanda Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark on April 16.
Towanda woman charged with DUI
Lauren M. Borrero, 23, of Towanda RR3 has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after she struck a parked vehicle on Main Street in Towanda, police said.
The incident occurred at 3:30 a.m. on March 14 near the intersection with Washington Street, Towanda police said.
Borrero has been sent a summons which orders her to appear before Towanda Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark on April 14.
Texas man charged in assault
Travis Jack Jones, 40, of Joshua, Texas, faces multiple charges including aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, harassment and disorderly conduct in connection with an incident that occurred at around 9:55 p.m. on March 12 at the Rustic Grotto in Athens Township, according to court documents filed at Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw's office.
Jones is accused of injuring several people in an altercation by punching them with a closed fist, court documents stated. Jones allegedly broke Shawn Red's jaw in numerous locations, according to court documents.
A preliminary hearing has been set for March 23 for Jones to answer the charges.
Barton man accused of theft
Michael D. Hendrickson, 25, of Barton, N.Y., was arrested by Waverly police on March 15 for felony burglary in the second degree, felony grand larceny in the fourth degree, felony criminal mischief in the third degree and misdemeanor petit larceny, according to the Waverly Police Department.
Hendrickson is accused of entering a Broad Street, Waverly N.Y., apartment in the early morning of Feb. 24 and stealing a small safe once inside the apartment, police said. He is alleged to have taken the safe to another location and forced opened the safe, police said.
According to police, the safe was damaged and the important papers (social security card and birth certificate) inside were destroyed; the safe contained $300 cash and $60 change.
Hendrickson was arraigned in local court in the evening hours of March 15 and sent to the Tioga County, N.Y. Correctional Facility to await further court action, police said; bail was set at $10,000.
Wysox male charged with DUI
Trevor Scott Lamphere, 20, of Wysox has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol in Wyalusing Township.
State police said they arrested Lamphere on the charge after observing him driving partly in the westbound lane of Route 6 and partly on the berm for over a half-mile at approximately 12:58 a.m. on Nov. 26.
Lamphere exhibited signs of intoxication during field sobriety testing and the amount of alcohol in his blood was .152 percent, police said.
Lamphere waived his preliminary hearing in Wysox District Court, which was scheduled for March 10, according to the Wysox District Court.
Lamphere's case has been transferred to the Court of Common Pleas of Bradford County.
Monroeton teen accused of harassment
A 17-year-old female from Monroeton is accused of harassing a victim over the phone, with text messages, police said.
The harassment occurred between 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, state police at Towanda said.
Street signs stolen in Bradford Co.
State police said they are trying to determine who stole several street signs recently in Franklin and Granville townships.
The signs were located at the intersection of Lilley Hill and Dodge City roads, the intersection of Cider Mill and Performance roads, and the intersection of Windfall and Fleming roads, police said.
The thefts occurred sometime between March 12 and March 15, police said.
Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to contact the state police at Towanda at (570) 265-2186. Also, tips can be given at 1-800-4-PA-TIPS and cash rewards may be available, state police at Towanda said.
Towanda man charged with assault
State police said they arrested Brian Russell Carey of Towanda on charges of simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief after investigating a report of domestic violence.
During the incident, Carey grabbed Christina Rought about her throat and arms, which caused her to suffer a bruise on her right upper arm, police said.
Carey, 29, also threw a partially-full soda can at Rought's television, police said. Carey also threw other items onto the floor during the incident, which took place inside Rought's residence, police said.
The incident occurred 9:10 a.m. on March 14 at Lot 24 of Hart's Trailer Court in Rome Borough, state police at Towanda said.
Carey was arraigned on March 14, and then sent to the Bradford County jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
Carey must attend a preliminary hearing before Wysox Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton on March 24.
Harassment reported
State police at Towanda said Thomas E. Decker, 47, of Troy struck a 39-year-old Troy female in the face during an argument around 10 p.m. March 15 on Peters Road in West Burlington Township.
Police said charges have been filed with the Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Wilcox.
No injuries reported
State police at Towanda said John A. Elvidge, Jr., 25, of Canton wasn't injured in a one-vehicle accident at 9:30 a.m. March 14 on Southside Road in Canton Township.
Police said the crash occurred as he was driving west and lost control of his Dodge Ram while negotiating a left curve in the road. His vehicle exited the road, struck a utility pole and traveled down an embankment. Members of the Canton Fire Department assisted at the scene.
Police said he was charged.
