Dushore woman charged with DUI

Jesse Cole Wade, 28, of Dushore was recently charged with DUI after she was stopped for a traffic violation in Elkland Township, police said.

The incident occurred at 1:55 a.m. on Aug. 8 along state Route 154, state police at Laporte said.

Criminal mischief occurs in Canton Twp.

Mark McMurray, 47, of Canton Township was recently the victim of criminal mischief, police said.

In the early morning hours on Friday, someone threw toilet paper through multiple trees on his property and also "soaped" his windows, police said.

Theft occurs in North Towanda

Someone recently stole the ignition keys from three farm tractors and two lawn tractors that were parked on a 64-year-old man's property in North Towanda Township, police said.

The theft occurred sometime between 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Friday along Sugar Creek Road, state police said.

Vehicle strikes utility poles in Wysox

A vehicle operated by 55-year-old John H. Kern of Towanda struck two utility poles in a recent one-vehicle accident in Wysox Township, police said.

Kern was driving a 1987 Dodge Caravan south on U.S. Route 187 when the vehicle left the right side of the road and struck the poles, police said.

Kern suffered a minor injury in the accident, which occurred at 12:45 a.m. on Monday, state police at Towanda said.
