17K worth of equipment stolen in Fox Twp.
Someone recently stole $17,000 worth of seismic equipment from a wooded area near state routes 154 and 4003 in Fox Township, police said.
The equipment belongs to Geokinetics of Wysox, police said.
The theft occurred sometime between 7 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday, state police said.

Theft occurs in Elkland Township
Various items that belong to FT Seismic Support of Campbell, N.Y., were recently stolen in Elkland Township, police said.
The stolen items include wrenches, fire extinguishers, a tool box, and a Motorola radio, state police at Laporte said.
The items were stolen Monday or Tuesday from a location on Hatch Road, police said.
Theft occurs in Asylum Twp.
Someone recently stole assorted U.S. currency and three paychecks from a mailbox located along Uhdey Road in Asylum Township, police said.
The victims of the theft were Pelton Logging & Excavating and GIZZMO LLC of Towanda, police said.
The theft occurred sometime between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Aug. 20, state police said.

Harassment citations issued in Rome
Sara A. Johnson, 24, of Rome and Susan N. Johnson, 50, of Athens recently engaged in a physical altercation at American Modern Homes in Rome Township, police said.
Citations for harassment were therefore filed against them in Wysox District Court, police said.
The incident occurred at 6:20 p.m. on Aug. 25, state police at Towanda said.
Assault reported in Elkland Twp.
State police at Laporte said they responded to an alleged indecent assault between two residents at the Dar-Way Nursing Home in Elkland Township.
The incident occurred at approximately 7 p.m. on Aug. 12, state police at Laporte said.
