Police Briefs

Tires slashed

State police at Towanda said someone slashed three tires and two drive belts and took one roll of bailing twine between 10 p.m. Aug. 10 and 10 a.m. Aug. 20 in a field on Andrus Hill just east of Burlington Road in Smithfield Township.

Police said a 42-year-old man's farm equipment was parked in the field.

Prank calls made

State police at Towanda said a 16-year-old New Albany male and a 10-year-old New Albany male prank-called the 911 center 22 times between 1 p.m. Aug. 13 and 1:20 p.m. Aug. 18 in North Towanda Township.

Police said they used vulgar language and made childish comments before hanging up with dispatchers. A charge of false alarms to agencies of public safety was filed against the 16-year-old and a charge of disorderly conduct was filed against the 10-year-old, police said.

Woman charged

State police at Laporte said Donna Rae White, 29, of Mildred, was charged with harassment for threatening to assault Barry Mordkowitz, 31, of Dushore, at 10:15 p.m. Aug. 20 on Railroad Street in Dushore, Sullivan County.

PFA violation reported

State police at Laporte said Katherine Kulick, 50, of Dushore, was arrested for a PFA violation between 8:40 a.m. and 1 p.m. Aug. 20 at a residence in Dushore.

Police said she put a bag with a birthday note and gift on the door of Frank Kulick, 81, of Dushore. She was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Jennifer Vandine. Her straight bail was set at $5,000. She didn't post bail and was placed in Tioga County Jail to await a hearing, police said.
