LeRaysville woman charged with retail theft
Alicia Isbell, 29, of LeRaysville is accused of retail theft after she stole miscellaneous items at the Bradford Towne Center shopping plaza in Wysox Township, police said.
The theft occurred at 7:19 a.m. Tuesday, state police said.
Man charged with assault in Sheshequin
An Oklahoma man has been charged with simple assault after he punched and choked a woman he was camping with at Larnard-Hornbrook County Park in Sheshequin Township, police said.
Donald Filmore Dunlap Jr., 47, of Broken Arrow, Okla., was also charged terroristic threats and harassment, state police said.
After the assault, Dunlap yelled to the victim, Amanda Jane Mitchko, that he would kill her and their daughter if she told the police about what happened, police said.
Mitchko had swelling to her nose, redness around her neck area, and a concussion, police said.
Mitchko was treated for her injuries at Memorial Hospital following the incident, which occurred at 2:10 p.m. on Aug. 21, state police at Towanda said.
Dunlap was arraigned on Jan. 26 by Towanda Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark. Dunlap was then released on non-monetary bail, polices said.
Dunlap's preliminary hearing in Towanda District Court, which was originally scheduled for Feb. 1, has been postponed to a future date. The date of the hearing has not yet been set.
Man charged with indecent assault in Burlington Twp.
A Houtzdale, Pa., man has been charged with indecent assault and corruption of minors after he inappropriately touched a five-year-old girl at a residence in Burlington Township, police said.
Guy Elmer Slocum Jr., who is now 32, had inappropriate contact with the victim twice, once in September 2003 and again in June 2004, state police at Towanda said.
Slocum was arraigned by Towanda Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark on Sunday. At that time, Slocum's bail was set at $25,000.
Slocum's preliminary hearing in Towanda District Court, which was originally scheduled for Feb. 1, has been postponed to a future date. The date of the hearing has not yet been set.
Towanda teen charged with statutory sexual assault
Dustin Michael Goodenow, 19, of Towanda has been charged with statutory sexual assault and corruption of minors after he had sexual intercourse with his girlfriend, who was 15 years old at the time, police said.
The victim told police they had had sex multiple times between the beginning of December and Jan. 14, state police at Towanda said.
Goodenow was arraigned by Towanda Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark on Saturday. Goodenow was then released on non-monetary bail.
Towanda man charged with assault
Justin Leroy Ervine, 25, of Towanda is accused of forcing his way into his ex-girlfriend's apartment, shoving her up against the wall, and choking her, police said.
The incident occurred at 1:30 a.m. Sunday at the apartment of his ex-girlfriend, Brittney Sparbanie, at 201 Second St., Towanda, police said.
After leaving Sparbanie's apartment, Ervine broke several windows of her apartment, Towanda police said.
As a result of this incident, Ervine has been charged with burglary, criminal trespass, criminal mischief, simple assault and harassment, police said.
Ervine was arrested and arraigned before Towanda Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark on Sunday. Ervine's was then sent to the Bradford County jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
Charges filed
State police at Mansfield said Robert Eugene Johnson IV, 36, of Canton, is accused in a reported domestic dispute that took place at 6:35 p.m. Jan. 23 on Cherry Flats Road in Charleston Township, Tioga County, Pa.
Police said Johnson allegedly harassed a 33-year-old woman. According to police, charges were filed in Magisterial District Court 04-3-02.
People charged
State police at Mansfield said Steven Dale Thome, 20, and Michelle Lea Brown, 27, both of Gillett were arrested around 6:40 p.m. Jan. 28 for retail theft at the Walmart in Richmond Township, Tioga County, Pa.
Police said Thome and Brown tried to take $43.53 worth of merchandise from Walmart without paying for it.
No one injured
State police said no one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 3:47 p.m. Jan. 25 on Coryland Road in Columbia Township.
Police said a woman was traveling west and was negotiating a right curve when she lost control of her Chevrolet Cobalt, which spun counterclockwise and into the eastbound lane, and went off the road and over a dirt embankment. During the crash, it struck an electric fence before coming to rest in a wooded area, police said. Police said the vehicle was driven from the scene.
Police did not identify the driver.
Door keyed
A 24-year-old Troy man told state police at Towanda that someone keyed the driver side door of his 2011 GMC 2500 truck while it was parked in his driveway sometime between Jan. 18-19 at his Bailey Corners Road residence in Granville Township.

Truck rack taken
A 47-year-old Troy man told state police at Towanda that someone stole a ladder truck rack from his porch sometime between Jan. 14-15 at Kerryview Trailer Park in Columbia Township.
Police said the rack was made of aluminum and is designed to fit a small-styled pickup truck.

Drug use investigated
State police at Towanda said they are investigating an incident that occurred between 7:30 a.m. and 8 a.m. Jan. 20 at Wyalusing High School in which a 17-year-old female, a 15-year-old male, and an 18-year-old male are suspected to have used synthetic marijuana on a school bus and/or were in possession of synthetic marijuana and/or paraphernalia.
Man charged with indecent assault
State police at Towanda said Guy Slocum, 31, of Houtzdale, Pa. was charged with indecent assault and corruption of minors for an indecent assault that took place various times between 2002-2003 in Burlington Township.
In the incident, police said a 13-year-old female was inappropriately touched by a known family member when she was 5 years old.
