Ulster, Monroeton women cited for harassment
Lerae Ann Bowen, 29, of Ulster and Theresa Marie Crockett, 49, of Monroeton are accused of sending harassing text messages to each other, police said.
Bowen and Crockett have been cited for harassment, state police said.
The harassment occurred between Jan. 7 and Feb. 5, state police at Towanda said.
Camptown teen accused of possession of marijuana
State police said they investigated a case of drug possession at Wyalusing Valley Junior/Senior High School at 1 p.m. Thursday.
A 15-year-old Camptown resident was possession of a small amount of marijuana, police said.
A juvenile petition was filed at the county's Probation Office, police said.
Cash stolen in Forks Twp.
State police said they are trying to determine who stole cash from Douglas Bragg of New Albany.
The theft occurred between 9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday at a location on Osthaus Road in Forks Township, police said.
State police at Laporte said they are continuing to investigate the theft.
Man suffers minor injury in Asylum crash
James R. Crawford, 56, suffered a minor injury in a motor vehicle accident Sunday in Asylum Township, police said.
Crawford was driving a vehicle north on state Route 2020 at 1:15 a.m. when he failed to negotiate a right-hand curve, state police at Towanda said.
The vehicle traveled across the opposite lane, rolled down an embankment and came to rest against several trees, state police said.
Teens charged with shoplifting in Wysox
Justin Ellard, 19, of Ulster and Jessica McClain, 19, of Martinsville, Ind., are accused of stealing footwear valued at $29.99 from the Kmart department store in Wysox Township, police said.
Ellard and McClain have been charged with retail theft, state police said.
The theft occurred at 8:45 p.m. Friday, state police at Towanda said.
Man charged with DUI in Towanda
Stephen Andrew Space, 28, of Towanda was arrest on a DUI charge and other traffic violations after he was observed driving recently in Towanda, police said.
The incident occurred at 5 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Bridge and Third streets in Towanda Borough, state police said.
Man charged with DUI in Wyalusing
David Paul Vernarec, 43, of Ulster/Wyalusing was recently arrested on a DUI charge in Wyalusing Township, police said.
The arrest occurred after Vernarec crashed a 1995 Toyota Corolla on state Route 409 at 4:15 p.m. on Jan. 28, police said.
A test showed that the amount of alcohol in his blood was above the legal limit, police said.
Vernarec was uninjured in the accident, state police at Towanda said.
Rubbish violation occurs in Albany Township
State police said they are trying to determine who deposited 15 trash bags of rubbish on a property in Albany Township.
The bags were full of beer cans and bottles, and also contained several receipts, police said.
The owner of the property is a 49-year-old man from Hummelstown, Pa., state police said.
