Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett announced that the following persons recently plead guilty in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

Michael C. Porter, 28, Troy, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to Possession of a Controlled Substance, a misdemeanor. Porter will be sentenced on Feb. 7, 2013, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. At sentencing, Porter faces a maximum sentence of up to 12 months plus fine(s), costs, restitution to victims, loss of Pennsylvania driving privilege for at least six months, and any other conditions deemed appropriate by the sentencing court. Trooper Brandon Allis of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Porter for the offense on February, following investigation of a situation that occurred in Towanda Township.

Michael C. Porter, 28, Troy, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to Driving under the Influence of Alcohol or Controlled Substance, a misdemeanor. Porter will be sentenced on Feb. 7, 2013, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. At sentencing, Porter faces a maximum sentence of up to six months plus fine(s), costs, restitution to victims, loss of Pennsylvania driving privilege for at least 12 months, and any other conditions deemed appropriate by the sentencing court. Trooper Joseph Thompson of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Porter for the offense on July, following investigation of a traffic violation that occurred in Ulster Township.

Kyle Rudloff, 21, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to six counts of Burglary, a felony of the second degree.

Rudloff will be sentenced on Feb. 11, 2013, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. At sentencing, Rudloff faces a maximum sentence of up to 60 years plus fine(s), costs, restitution to victims, and any other conditions deemed appropriate by the sentencing court. Officers of the Sayre and Athens Township arrested Rudloff for the offense on September and October 2012, following investigation of burglaries that occurred in Sayre Borough and Athens Township.

Lindsey Bashore, 19, Lockwood, N.Y., entered a plea of guilty to Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Bashore will be sentenced on Feb. 11, 2013, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. At sentencing, Bashore faces a maximum sentence of up to two years plus fine(s), costs, restitution to victims, and any other conditions deemed appropriate by the sentencing court. Trooper Michael Mislevy arrested Bashore for the offense in August 2012, following investigation of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle that occurred in FranklinTownship.

Jason Brown, 35, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to Possession of a Controlled Substance, a misdemeanor, and Loitering and Prowling at Night, a misdemeanor of the third degree. Brown will be sentenced on Feb. 14, 2013, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. At sentencing, Brown faces a maximum sentence of up to two years plus fine(s), costs, restitution to victims, loss of Pennsylvania driving privilege for at least six months and any other conditions deemed appropriate by the sentencing court. Trooper Michael Mislevy arrested Bashore for the offense in August 2012, following investigation of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle that occurred in Franklin Township was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from 92 days to 18 months, and a fine of $1500, for the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Saxon will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 18 months. Sergeant David Lantz of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Saxon for the offense in February 2012.

Jeffrey Jones, 56, East Smithfield, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from 90 days to 18 months, and a fine of $1500, for the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Jones will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 18 months. Trooper David Sweeney of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Jones for the offense in April 2012.

Cody Collins, 20, Wysox, Pa., was sentenced to County Intermediate Punishment with 19 days imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility followed by probation for a term of 12 months. The sentence was imposed following an earlier guilty plea to the offense of Simple Assault. Trooper James Dughi of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Collins for the offense in May 2012.

Sheila Bump, 42, Towanda, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from three months to 12 months for the offense of Endangering the Welfare of Children, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Corporal Albert Ogden of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Cole for the offense in February 2012.

James R. Staton, 32, Canton, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from six months to 18 months, and a fine of $500, for the offense of Criminal Trespass, a felony. Officer Steven Vanderpool of the Canton Borough Police Department arrested Staton for the offense in June 2012.

Joshua Hearn, 44, Texas, was sentenced to a total term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from five days to 12 months, and fines totaling $1000, for the offenses of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor, and Resisting Arrest, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Hearn will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 12 months. Trooper Matthew Grebeck of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Hearn for the offense in April 2012.

Whitney Kipling, 25, Elmira, N.Y., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from three days to six months, a fine of $500, and probation for a term of 12 months, for the offenses of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Kipling will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 12 months. Officers Nathan Ross of the Sayre Borough Police Department and Timothy Cahill of the Athens Borough Police Department, respectively, arrested Kipling for the offenses in July 2011 and May 2012.

Eric Mathis, 36, Monroeton, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from 90 days to 18 months, and a fine of $1500, for the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Mathis will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 18 months as mandated by Pennsylvania law for his conviction plus an additional 18 months for refusing to submit to a blood test at the time of his arrest. Trooper Joshua Fisher of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Mathis for the offense in December 2011.

Jeremy Spencer, 29, Columbia Crossroads, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from 90 days to 18 months, and a fine of $1500, for the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Spencer will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 18 months. Officer Steven Vanderpool of the Canton Borough Police Department arrested Spencer for the offense in April 2011.

Kelly Sue Westover, 31, Waverly, N.Y., was sentenced to probation for a term of 18 months, and a fine of $500, for the offense of Conspiracy to Deliver a Controlled Substance, a felony. Westover was also ordered to reimburse the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the amount of $350 for money used to buy a controlled substance at the time of her arrest. Additionally, Westover will also lose her Pennsylvania driving privilege for six months. Agents of the Bradford County Drug Task Force arrested Westover for the offense in February 2010.

David Lattimer, 24, of Milan, Pa., whose original sentence of probation was revoked due to violation of probation conditions, was resentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from two months to 12 months, probation for a term of 12 months, and fines totaling $800, for the offenses of Criminal Trespass, a felony of the third degree and Receiving Stolen Property, a misdemeanor of the third degree. Officer Timothy Cahill of the Athens Borough Police Department arrested Lattimer for the offenses in June 2010.

Dustin Pedro, 19, Rome, Pa., was sentenced to probation for a term of one year, and a fine of $500, for the offense of Criminal Trespass, a felony of the third degree. Pedro was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $3123.40. Trooper Jeffrey Sredenschek of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Pedro for the offense in July 2011.

Brian Kingston, 36, Wyalusing, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from nine days to 18 months, and a fine of $1500, for the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Kingston will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for eighteen months. He will also lose his driver's license for 18 months. Trooper George Layou of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Kingston for the offense in January 2012.

William S. Glidden, 41, Waverly, N.Y., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from 30 days to six months, and a fine of $1,000, for the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. However, commencement of the sentence was deferred for a period of 10 days so that Glidden may, at his discretion, withdraw his earlier guilty party on the grounds that the sentence constituted a rejection of the plea agreement reached by the Parties. Glidden will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 12 months if the sentence goes into effect. Sergeant Daniel Reynolds of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Glidden for the offense in January 2011.

Chase Argot, 29, Wysox, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from 90 days to 18 months, and a fine of $1500, for the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Argot will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 18 months as mandated by Pennsylvania law for his DUI conviction and for an additional 18 months because he refused to submit to a blood test at the time of his arrest. Officer Joshua Lake of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Argot for the offense in March 2012.

Nathan P. Ritter, 20, Tioga, Pa., was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from three months to 18 months, and a fine of $500, for the offense of Statutory Sexual Assault, a felony of the second degree. Trooper David Pelachick of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Ritter for the offense in May 2012.

Mark Shaffer, 44, Ulster, Pa., was sentenced to probation for a term of one year, and a fine of $300, for the offense of Obstruction of Administration of Law or Other Governmental Function, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Trooper David Pelachick of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Shaffer for the offense in May 2012.

Michael Melito, 35, Airy, Md., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from 15 days to six months, and a fine of $1000, for the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Melito will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 12 months. Corporal Norman Strauss, III, of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Melito for the offense in April 2011.

Dewayne A. McMeekan, 46, a resident of both Illinois and Texas, was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility of from six months to 30 months, and a fine of $800, for the offense of Flight to Avoid Apprehension and Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer, each a misdemeanor of the second degree. McMeekan will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 12 months. Trooper Frank Naughton of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested McMeekan for the offense in April 2012.

Steven Taylor, 30, Towanda, Pa., was sentenced to a total term of imprisonment in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility of from four years to eight years, and a fine of $500, for the offenses of Illegal Possession of a Firearm, a felony of the second degree, Corruption of Minors, a misdemeanor of the first degree, and Indecent Assault, a misdemeanor of the second degree. The sentence for Illegal Possession of a Firearm was imposed following a criminal trial by jury; the remaining sentences were preceded by guilty pleas. Officer Thomas VanFleet of the Athens Township Police Department and Trooper David Pelachick of the Pennsylvania State Police, respectively, arrested Taylor for the offenses in February and May 2012.

Jordan Royer, 25, Timpson, Texas, was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from 90 days to 18 months, and a fine of $1500, for the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Synthetic Marihuana, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Royer will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 18 months. Trooper David Pelachick of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Royer for the offense in February 2012.

Charli Northrup, 35, Canton, Pa., was sentenced to a total term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from 95 days to 23 months, 29 days, probation for a term of 12 months, and fines totaling $1800, for two counts of the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, misdemeanors of the second and first degree, respectively, and one count of Endangering the Welfare of Children, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Northrup will also lose her Pennsylvania driving privilege for a total of 30 months for the DUI offenses. Trooper Michael Wienckowski of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Northrup for the first DUI offense; Officers Floyd McDonald of the Troy Borough Police Department and Eric Heckman of the Canton Borough Police Department arrested Northrup for the remaining offenses in March 2012.

Jeremy Frisbie, 29, Waverly, N.Y., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility of from three years to nine years, and fines totaling $1800, for two counts of Criminal Trespass, each a felony of the third degree, and single counts of Resisting Arrest and Simple Assault, each a misdemeanor of the second degree. Frisbie was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $343.10. Officer Bruce Hoffman of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Frisbie for the offenses in June 2012.

Cody Maupin, 31, Benbrook, Texas, was sentenced to State Intermediate Punishment for a term of 24 months, and fines totaling $3600, for the offenses of Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer, a felony of the third degree, Theft by Unlawful taking, a felony of the third degree, and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Maupin was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $3980.72, and he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 30 months plus an additional 18 months for failing to submit to a blood test at the time of his DUI arrest. Officer Bryan Bellows of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Maupin for the offense in March 2012.

Chad Fassett, 29, Wyalusing, Pa., was sentenced to State Intermediate Punishment for 24 months, and fines totaling $2100, for two counts of Theft by Unlawful Taking, each a misdemeanor of the second degree, and single counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, each a misdemeanor. Fassett was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $1175, and he will lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 12 months. Troopers Michael Moser and Joseph Mitchell of the Pennsylvania State Police, respectively, arrested Fassett for the offenses in December 2011 and January 2012

Jacob W. White, 37, Binghamton, N.Y., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility of from five months to two years, and fines totaling $700, for the offenses of Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer, a misdemeanor of the second degree, and Reckless Driving, a summary violation. White will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 12 months. Officer Thomas VanFleet of the Athens Township Police Department arrested White for the offenses in May 2012.

Timothy Belcher, 27, of Lawton, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from 13 days to 18 months, and a fine of $300, for the offense of Criminal Trespass, a felony of the third degree. Belcher was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $200. Trooper Nathan Lewis of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Belcher for the offense in March 2011.

Lisa Brassfield, 29, Rome, Pa., was resentenced following revocation her original sentence of probation due to violation of probation conditions, to a term of imprisonment in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility of from six months to 12 months, and a fine of $500, for the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, a misdemeanor. Agents of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested Brassfield for the offense in August 2010.

Robert Derhammer, 24, Tunkhannock, Pa., was resentenced following revocation of his original sentence of probation due to violation of probation conditions to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from one month to 18 months, and a fine of $500, for the offense of Retail Theft, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Trooper Craig Flynn of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Derhammer for the offense in July 2011.

Leroy Hickman, 33, Keota, Okla., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from 29 days to 12 months, and a fine of $500, for the offense of Carrying a Firearm Without a License, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Trooper Joshua Fisher of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Hickman for the offense in May 2011.

James Royce Brown, 37, Towanda, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from 192 days to 23 months, 29 days, and fines totaling $3000, for two counts of the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, each a misdemeanor of the first degree. Brown will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for a total period 36 months. Trooper Kevin Hibson of the Pennsylvania State Police and Officer Josh Lake of the Towanda Borough Police Department, respectively, arrested Brown for the offenses in March and May 2012.

Benjamin Kinsman, 24, Wysox, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from five days to six months, and a fine of $1000, for the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Kinsman will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 12 months. Trooper Bryan Fedor of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Kinsman for the offense in August 2010. The sentence followed the revocation of Kinsman's earlier placement in the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD) Program due to violation of program conditions.

Ryan Ballard, 23, Canton, Pa., was sentenced to probation for a term of one year, and a fine of $300, for the offense of Theft by Unlawful Taking, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Ballard was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $2,462.23. Trooper Anthony Stempien of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Ballard for the offense in March 2012.

Daniel Leon Hartzog, 19, Troy, Pa., was sentenced to a total term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from two months to 23 months, 29 days, for the offenses of Simple Assault and Resisting Arrest, each a misdemeanor of the second degree. Trooper Anthony Stempien of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Hartzog for the offenses in May 2012.

Adam Heasley, 26, Gillett, Pa, was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from 41 days to 12 months, and a fine of $300, for the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, a misdemeanor. Heasley will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for six months. Officer Floyd McDonald of the Troy Borough Police Department arrested Heasley for the offense in April 2011.

Daniel Kizale, 25, Athens, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility of from four years to 10 years, and a fine of $500, for the offense of Burglary, a felony of the first degree. Kizale was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $1444.34. Trooper James Dughi of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Kizale for the offense in August 2012.

Trooper Thad Warnick of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Wood for the offense in Dec. 14, 2011, after an incident in Monroeton Borough.

Erica Nowell, 29, Sayre, Pa., was sentenced to a total term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from four months to 18 months, and fines totaling $1500, for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor, and Theft By Unlawful Taking, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Nowell was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $2725.00 and she will lose her Pennsylvania driving privilege for 12 months. Officer Bruce Huffman of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Nowell for the offenses in May 2012.

Tommy Turner, 49, Rome, Pa., was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from 45 days to six months, and a fine of $1000, for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Turner will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 12 months. Trooper Wayne Dunkling of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Turner for the offense in March 2012 after an incident that occurred in Towanda Township.

Robert McGrath, Athens, Pa., was sentenced to a total term of imprisonment in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility of from one year plus 90 days to four years, and fines totaling $3000 Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree, and Driving While Operating Suspended, a summary offense. McGrath will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 30 months. Officer Roger Clink of the Athens Township Police Department arrested McGrath for the offenses in March 2012.

Craig Callear, 22, Athens, Pa., was sentenced to probation for a total term of 18 months, and fines totaling $950.00, for Criminal Trespass, a felony of the third degree; Theft By Unlawful Taking, a misdemeanor of the first degree; and Retail Theft, a summary violation. Trooper Nathan Lewis of the Pennsylvania State Police and Officer John Fedorchak of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Callear for the offenses in June and July 2012, respectively, following incidents that occurred in Ulster Township and Athens Township.

Robert Uitz, Jr., 19, Sayre, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from one month to 12 months, and a fine of $500, for Simple Assault, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Officer Sean Flynn of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Uitz for the offense in August 2012.

Jonathon Baker, 29, Columbus, Ohio, was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility equal to the number of days served in confinement as of the date of his sentence. The sentence was imposed following an earlier guilty plea to the offense of Impersonating a Public Servant. Trooper James Dughi of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Baker for the offense in December 2011, after an incident that occurred in Towanda Township.

Terry Copp, 52, Waverly, N.Y., was sentenced to probation for a term of 18 months, and a fine of $300, for Theft By Unlawful Taking. Copp was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $2700. Officer Jeremy Horton of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Copp in April 2012.

At sentencing, Winfield faces a maximum sentence of up to 30 years plus fine(s), costs, restitution to victims, loss of Pennsylvania driving privilege for six months, and any other conditions deemed appropriate by the sentencing court. Officer Bruce Hoffman of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Winfield for the offense in June 2012.

Patrick Slates, 32, Waverly, N.Y., entered a plea of guilty to Theft By Unlawful Taking, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Slates will be sentenced on March 7, 2013, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. At sentencing, Slates faces a maximum sentence of up to five years plus fine(s), costs, restitution to victims, and any other conditions deemed appropriate by the sentencing court. Trooper Michael Moser of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Slater for the offense in May 2012 following investigation of an incident that occurred in Sayre Borough.

Dustin Curtis, 21, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to Simple Assault, a misdemeanor of the second degree; two counts of Harassment, each a summary offense; and Criminal Mischief, a summary offense. Curtis will be sentenced on March 7, 2013, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. At sentencing, Curtis faces a maximum sentence of up to two years plus 27 days and fine(s), costs, restitution to victims, and any other conditions deemed appropriate by the sentencing court. Officer Joshua Lake of the Towanda Borough Police arrested Curtis for the offense in July 2012.

Jonathan Baker, 29, Columbus, Ohio, entered a plea of guilty to Impersonating a Public Servant, a misdemeanor of the second degree; Baker faces a sentence of up to 24 months for the offense. Trooper James Dughi of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Baker in December 2011 following an incident involving a fraudulent telephone call placed by Baker to Towanda State Police.
