Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett announced that the following persons recently entered pleas of guilty and were sentenced in Bradford County Magisterial District Courts:

Angela Smith, 36, Elmira, N.Y., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Theft by Deception, a misdemeanor of the third degree and was sentenced to 30 days and court costs. Officer Richard Horton of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Smith for the offense.

Star Parker, 32, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark to the offense of Harassment, a summary offense and was sentenced to a fine of $50, and court costs. Officer John Werner of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Parker for the offense on Jan. 17, 2014, following investigation of an assault that occurred in Towanda Borough.

Andrew Gomez, 29, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark to the offense of Harassment, a summary offense and was sentenced to a fine of $50 and court costs. Officer Bryan Bellows of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Gomez for the offense on Jan. 17, 2014, following investigation of an assault that occurred in Towanda Borough.

Frederick Bombacie, 58, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark to the offense of Harassment, a summary offense and was sentenced to three days and court costs. Trooper William McDermott of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Bombacie for the offense on Feb. 15, 2014, following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Township.

Timothy Shafer, 55, Wyalusing, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark to the offense of Harassment, a misdemeanor of the third degree and was sentenced to a fine of $50 and court costs.

Trooper Michael Tribendis of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Shafer for the offense on March 2, 2014, following investigation of a harassment that occurred in Monroe Township.

Nancy Miller, 35, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark to the offense of Harassment, a summary offense and was sentenced to a fine of $50 and court costs. Sergeant David Lantz of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Miller for the offense on Feb. 7, 2014, following investigation of an assault that occurred in Towanda Borough.

Ramona Roach, Wysox, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark to the offense of Bad Check, a misdemeanor of the third degree and was sentenced to a fine of $50, restitution in the amount of $1682.01, and court costs. A Private Complaint submitted by Hurley's Supermarket for the offenses in July, November and December, following investigation of bad check offenses that occurred in Towanda Township.

Lori Vanderpool, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark to the offense of Bad Check, a summary offense and was sentenced to a fine of $50, restitution in the amount of $59.37 and court costs. A Private Complaint submitted by Hurley's Supermarket for the offense in July, following investigation of a bad check that occurred in Towanda Township.

Kimberly Kithcart, Wyalusing, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark to the offense of Bad Check, a summary offense and was sentenced to a fine of $50, restitution in the amount of $357.17, and court costs. A Private Complaint submitted by Hurley's Supermarket for the offense in June, following investigation of a bad check that occurred in Towanda Township.

Tara Potter, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark to the offense of Bad Check, a summary offense and was sentenced to a fine of $50, restitution in the amount of $248.87, and court costs. A Private Complaint submitted by Hurley's Supermarket for the offense in July, following investigation of a bad check that occurred in Towanda Township.

Justin Sharrow, 20, Canton, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Wilcox to the offense of Harassment, a summary offense and was sentenced to a fine of $100 and court costs. Trooper Creedon of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Sharrow for the offense on March 2, 2014, following investigation of a domestic dispute that occurred in Canton Borough.

Jordan Frisbie, 20, Waverly, N.Y., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor and was sentenced to 14 days and court costs. Sergeant James Shaw of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Frisbie for the offense on Feb. 12, 2014, following investigation of a Possession of Drug Paraphernalia that occurred in Athens Township.

Adams Rowe, 25, Cincinnatus, N.Y., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Retail Theft, a summary offense and was sentenced to 10 days and court costs. Officer Daniel Thomas of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Rowe for the offense on March 22, 2014, following investigation of a Retail Theft that occurred in Athens Township.

Joshua Anthony, 24, Milan, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Receiving Stolen Property, a misdemeanor of the third degree and was sentenced to seven days and court costs. Officer John Fedorchak of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Anthony for the offense on Feb. 24, 2014, following investigation of a Theft that occurred in Athens Township.

David English, 27, VanEtten, N.Y., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor and was sentenced to a fine of $300 and court costs.

Officer John Fedorchak of the Athens Township Police Department arrested English for the offense on Feb. 26, 2014, following investigation of a Possession of Drug Paraphernalia that occurred in Athens Township.

District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett announced the following recent criminal case resolutions in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

SENTENCED

Jeffrey Jackson, 27, Towanda, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility of from six months to 12 months, run consecutive to previous sentence and a fine of $500, for the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Officer Bruce Hoffman of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Jackson for the offense on Aug. 28, 2013.

Dylan Cranmer, 24, Warren Center, Pa., was sentenced to Probation for a term of one year, he was also ordered to pay restitution of $7,175.52, and a fine of $500, he will also lose his driver's license for 12 months, for the offense of Accident involving Personal Injury, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Trooper Anthony Stempien of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Cranmer following investigation of an incident that occurred in Warren Township in August 2013.

David Spencer, 33, Wysox, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility of from 21 months to 54 months for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Sergeant James Shaw and Officer Jason Serfas of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Spencer for the offenses in July 2013.

Misty Post, 37, Ulster, Pa., was sentenced to probation for a term of six months, and a fine of $300, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Trooper Christopher Stecik of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Post following investigation of an incident that occurred in Monroeton Borough.

Selena Nogar, 22, Athens, Pa., was sentenced to Probation for a term of six months and a fine of $300 for the offense. Sergeant James Shaw of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Nogar for the offense in September 2013.

Jerry Copas, 50, of Sayre, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from one month to 23 months and a fine of $500, for the offense of Luring a Child, a misdemeanor of the third degree. Sergeant Steve Burlingame of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Copus for the offense in December 2012.

GUILTY PLEAS

Brian Cole, 40, Rome, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Cole will be sentenced on May 29, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Michael Mislevy of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Cole following investigation of an incident that occurred in Windham Township on Oct. 13, 2013.

Melinda Salsman, 27, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Salsman will be sentenced on April 17, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Sean Flynn of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Salsman for the offense on Feb. 15, 2014.

Stanley Butler, 43, Canton, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Recklessly Endangering another Person, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Butler will be sentenced on May 22, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper David Kittle of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Butler following investigation of an incident that occurred on Oct. 28, 2013 in Canton Township.

Matthew Williams, 33, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Simple Assault, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Williams will be sentenced on May 22, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Sean Flynn of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Williams for the offense on Nov. 11, 2013.

Anthony Coniglio, 30, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Coniglio will be sentenced on May 22, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Derek Watkins of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Coniglio for the offense on Dec. 29, 2013.

Cody Varga, 25, Columbia Cross Roads, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Varga will be sentenced on May 22, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer George Nichols of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Varga for the offense on Aug. 18, 2013.

Travis Taylor, 20, Wyalusing, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor and Recklessly Endangering another Person, a misdemeanor of the second degree.

Taylor will be sentenced on May 8, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Michael Tribendis of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Taylor following investigation of an incident that occurred in Standing Stone Township on Aug. 10, 2013.

Joshua Kinner, 27, Towanda, Pa., was convicted of the offense of Violating a Protective Order after a trial before Senior Judge Jeffrey Smith. Kinner will be sentenced on May 29, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Troopers Michael Teresta and Robert Richton of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Kinner following investigation of an incident that occurred in North Towanda Township.

PLACEMENT IN THE ACCELERATED REHABILITATIVE DISPOSITION (ARD) PROGRAM

Daniel Fitzwater, 60, Troy, Pa., charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation, Fitzwater will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Fitzwater must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel and he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days.

Officer Trey Kurt of the Canton Borough Police Department filed the charges on June 15, 2013 for the offense in Canton Borough.

James Erdley, 55, Rural Valley, Pa., charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation, Erdley will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Erdley must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel and he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days.
