Men charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse
Two Canton men and a Grover man have been charged with having sexual contact with a Canton man who suffers from a mental disability, according to court papers filed with the office of Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Wilcox of Troy.
Pennsylvania State Police have charged Ronald Middaugh, 52, of 100 Cedar Ridge Dr., Apt. 202, Canton; Randy Vern Foust, 51, of 100 Cedar Ridge Dr., Apt. 306, Cedar Ridge Apartments, Canton; and Jared Matthew Strunk, 41, of 8 Main St., PO Box 171, Grover, with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, according to the papers filed by Trooper David Pelachick. Pelachick said the victim's mental disability
renders him incapable of consent.
An affidavit notes that Bradford County Detective Kyle Wisel informed state police at Towanda about the incidents.
The incidents took place from April 1 through July 30, 2012, at Cedar Ridge Apartments in Canton, police said. In Strunk's affidavit, it's noted that Strunk is denying having any sexual contact with the victim.
Foust's unsecure bail was set at $45,000, Strunk's unsecure bail at $25,000, and Middaugh's unsecure bail at $25,000, according to Wilcox. They were arrested and arraigned on May 29. Wilcox said they face preliminary hearings at 1 p.m. June 5.
