Man injured

State police at Towanda said that Gregory Maynard, 58, of Canton, had a minor injury in a one-vehicle accident at 10:55 p.m. Dec. 27 on Route 414 in Leroy Township.

Trooper Brandon Allis said Maynard was traveling east and his Kia Sportage began sliding on a patch of ice and snow, and he lost control of the vehicle, which traveled onto the northern roadside of Route 414, struck an embankment and overturned onto its roof. As it rolled over, the vehicle struck an electric fence at 6197 Route 414, and came to final rest on the northern roadside of Route 414, facing west.

Maynard was taken by Western Alliance to Robert Packer Hospital.

Indecent assault investigated

State police at Towanda said they are investigating an indecent assault that occurred during the Troy Fair demolition derby in 2010.

Trooper Warnick said the victim was a 10-year-old Canton male and the assault took place in July 2010 at Alparon Park in Troy Township.

Police investigate indecent assault

State police at Towanda said they are investigating a report of an indecent assault that took place Dec. 22 at a residence in Columbia Township.

Trooper Warnick said the victim was a 10-year-old Gillett individual. The gender of the person was not specified.

Man charged

State police at Towanda said that Kenneth Raymond, 28, of Towanda was charged with harassment and possession of drug paraphernalia in District Court 42-3-03 for an incident that took place Jan. 4 on the Burlington Turnpike in Burlington Township.

Trooper Youngblood said that Raymond subjected the victim, a 27-year-old woman, to physical contact during an argument, and a piece of drug paraphernalia was taken from the residence during the police investigation.

Deer hides stolen

State police at Towanda said they are continuing to investigate the theft of 75 processed deer hides that took place sometime between 8 p.m. Nov. 29 and 3 p.m. Nov. 30 in South Creek Township.

Trooper Fisher said the victim was a Gillett man, and anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact state police at (570) 265-2186 or 800-4-PA-TIPS.

Harassment reported

State police at Towanda said that Christopher Lee Heinze, no age given, of New Albany, and Timothy Joseph Hodge, no age given, of Columbia Cross Roads, began to argue and the argument became physical, with both striking each other, at 8:30 p.m. Aug. 24 at the Bradford County Correctional Facility in West Burlington Township.

Trooper David Kittle said neither wants to pursue charges against the other.

Wood taken

State police at Towanda said that someone stole residual ash wood, stemming from baseball bat manufacturing, from Larimer & Norton sometime between Dec. 6-10 in Troy Township.

Trooper Joshua M. Thompson said that the 40-inch long pieces of wood were stacked outside and are sold for firewood.

Police also reported the same type of incident at the same location between Jan. 11 and Jan. 14.

Man cited

State police at Towanda said that Robert Johnson, Jr., 52, of Granville Summit, has been cited with harassment in Magisterial District Court 42-3-01 after he followed behind a 20-year-old Granville Summit man while the two were driving sometime between approximately 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Jan. 13 on Route 514 in Granville Township, tailgating the victim while repeatedly honking his horn all the way from Granville Summit to Troy Borough.

Trooper Joshua M. Thompson said it happened because of an ongoing property dispute.

Police also said that Robert Johnson, Jr., 52, of Granville Summit was cited with criminal mischief in Magisterial District Court 42-3-01 after he ripped down and destroyed four posted signs belonging to a 43-year-old Granville Summit man sometime between approximately 3:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. Jan. 13 on Route 514 in Granville Township.

Man charged with harassment

State police at Towanda said a charge of harassment was filed at the office of Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Wilcox of Troy against Anthony Michael Hilton, no age given, of Granville Summit, who is accused in a harassment incident that took place at 1 p.m. Jan. 13 on Route 514 in Granville Township.

Trooper David Kittle said that Hilton and the victim, a 52-year-old Granville Summit man, had a disagreement about property boundaries, and Hilton destroyed and damaged several fruit trees located along the property boundary and placed the wood debris and garbage along the boundary with the intent of harassing the victim.

Purse stolen

A 51-year-old Columbia Cross Roads woman told state police at Towanda that someone entered her house and stole her purse containing $300-$400 and a Kindle Fire electronic notebook sometime between approximately 11 p.m. Jan. 5 and 10:45 a.m. Jan. 6 on Watkins Hill Road in Columbia Township.
