Police Briefs 11/3/2012
The following people were recently charged with driving while under the influence in Tioga County, N.Y.:
Sarah Anne Loeffler, 29, of Waverly, by Waverly village police, on Oct. 26, on West Pine Street in Waverly. Loeffler was also charged with speeding and driving a vehicle without insurance. Loeffler is scheduled to answer the charges Nov. 8 in Village of Waverly court.
Students arrested following drug transaction
Two juveniles were recently arrested by Waverly village police following a drug transaction observed at Waverly High School.
According to information from village police, a 16-year-old male was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police said a 15-year-old male was arrested for reckless endangerment.
Police said the 15-year-old juvenile passed an Adderall pill to the 16-year-old Oct. 26.
The 16-year-old was issued a ticket to appear Nov. 1 in Village of Waverly court. The 15-year-old was issued an appearance ticket to answer his charge at the Tioga County, N.Y. probation department, police said.
