Towanda Police report on police activity in the borough:

Horace Locklear, 60, of Maxton, N.C. was charged with the summary offense of disorderly conduct for a incident which occurred on Nov. 17. Locklear is accused of causing a public disturbance at Captain Jack's Bar on Main Street, Towanda.

Liam Aissa, 22, of Towanda was charged with the summary offenses of criminal mischief and public drunkenness for a incident which occurred on Dec. 1. Aissa is accused of intentionally damaging property while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage at the law office of Griffin, Dawsey, DePaola, & Jones, Main Street, Towanda.

Erica Adams, 25, of Hillcrest, N.Y. was cited for harassment following a incident which occurred on Dec. 7. Adams is accused of repeatedly contacting another by phone, and sending text messages, causing alarm to the victim.

Kelly Ackley, 27, of Towanda has been charged with the summary offense of harassment following a incident which occurred on Dec. 10. Ackley is accused of striking another in the face. The incident occurred on Poplar Street, Towanda.

A juvenile male has been charged with retail theft for an incident which occurred at Ben Franklin Crafts, Main Street, Towanda. The incident occurred on Dec. 13.

Keith Kissell, 26, of Towanda has been charged with the summary offenses of criminal mischief and public drunkenness following an incident which occurred on Dec. 1. Kissell is accused of intentionally damaging property while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage at the law office of Griffin, Dawsey, DePaola, & Jones, Main Street, Towanda.

Burglary in Sugar Run

State police in Towanda are investigating a report of a burglary at 181 Mowery Ln. in Sugar Run between Dec. 8 and Dec. 16.

According to police, someone entered the residence by smashing a window on the porch, but did not take anything.

Michigan man charged with scattering rubbish

David Eugene Rohring, 39, of Michigan is accused of scattering rubbish after a Rome man found trash and other waste on his property on W. Parks Road in Rome. The incident was said to have taken place on Dec. 4 at 11 a.m..

According to police, evidence was located inside the trash that had Rohring's name on it.

State police said a non-traffic citation was filed with the Magisterial District Court in Wysox.

Stolen mailbox

State police in Towanda are investigating a report of a stolen mailbox that occurred on Woodland Lake Rd. in Pike Twp on Dec. 16. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police in Towanda at 570-265-2186.
