Theft occurs in Towanda
Towanda Borough Police said they are investigating a theft which occurred on or about Dec. 11 in the 600 block of Second Street in the borough. Numerous items such as tools, boots, yard care items, a tent, and other miscellaneous items were removed from an outdoor shed, police said. Hit-and-run crash occurs in Towanda
Towanda Borough Police said they are investigating a hit-and-run accident which occurred on Packer Avenue, Towanda.
The incident occurred on Dec. 7. The suspect vehicle was last seen heading west on Packer Avenue, and was described as black in color, with red flames, police said. The vehicle might have been an older model SUV, police said.

Man arrested for DUI in Dushore
Donald Space, 40, of Sweet Valley, Pa., was arrested for DUI at 1:50 a.m. Wednesday at the Pump-n-Pantry in Dushore, Sullivan County, police said.
The arrest occurred after Space was stopped for a traffic violation, state police at Laporte said.
