Waverly police make arrests
Waverly police recently made the following arrests, according to information from the Waverly Police Department:
Jeremy M. Meyers, 26, of Barton, for misdemeanor driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, consumption of an alcoholic beverage in a vehicle, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident and following too closely.
Police said Meyers was arrested at about 7:05 p.m. Feb. 10 following investigation into a report of a reckless driver in the village. Meyers is scheduled to appear Feb. 20 in Waverly Village Court.
Jeremy Stotler, 36, of Barton, for felony driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, suspended vehicle registration, operating a vehicle without insurance and numerous traffic violations.
Police said Stotler was arrested at about 9 p.m. Feb. 8 following investigation into a motor vehicle accident near the intersection of Chemung and William streets. Stotler is scheduled to appear Feb. 20 in Waverly Village Court.
Megan C. Chilson, 25, of Athens, for misdemeanor driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated.
Police said Chilson was arrested at about 9:18 p.m. Feb. 6 after leaving the roadway and getting her vehicle stuck in a snowy front yard. Chilson is scheduled to appear Feb. 13 in Waverly Village Court.
State police investigating incident
State police at Hazleton are investigating a child pornography incident involving a 13-year-old female of Milan.
According to state police information, three Columbia County males requested that the victim send nude photos of herself to them between Dec. 2013 and Feb. 2014. The victim sent multiple photos of herself to the actors through social media, police said.
Sayre man charged with assault
A Sayre man was recently arrested by Athens Township police on a charge of simple assault.
According to information filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Jeremy Jay Williams, 36, was also charged with harassment by physical contact and criminal trespass.
Police said Williams struck a female with a bottle during a domestic incident Feb. 12 at a Wilawana Road residence.
Williams was arraigned Feb. 12 and remanded to the Bradford County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail. Williams' preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 25.
Woman arrested for unlicensed operation
A Sayre woman was recently arrested by Tioga County, N.Y. sheriff's deputies on a charge of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
According to information from the sheriff's office, Elizabeth M. Firestine, 33, was also charged with operating a vehicle without insurance and failure to keep right.
Police said the charges resulted from a property damage motor vehicle accident on Route 17. Firestine was issued tickets to appear Feb. 25 in Barton Town Court.
Criminal mischief charge
A Barton woman was recently arrested by Tioga County, N.Y. sheriff's deputies on a charge of criminal mischief.
According to information from the sheriff's office, Lynette R. Ford, 29, was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child and harassment.
Police said Ford was charged following a Feb. 11 domestic dispute. Ford was arraigned in Barton Town Court and released on her own recognizance, police said. Ford is scheduled to appear Feb. 18 in court.
