Waverly man accused of shoving child
A Waverly man was recently arrested by village police on a charge of criminal contempt.
According to information from village police, Christopher C. Green, 26, was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
Police said Green was arrested Feb. 26 after he allegedly violated a court order. Green is also accused of shoving a 6-year-old juvenile to the ground, police said.
Man charged with harassment
A Milan man was recently charged with two counts of harassment by state police.
According to information from state police at Towanda, Christopher J. Sabin, 19, pushed a 24-year-old female victim to the floor Feb. 28 at a Milan-East Smithfield Road location during an argument. Police said Sabin also pushed a 43-year-old female after she attempted to intervene.
Charges were filed in district court, police said.
Driver uninjured in Rt. 220 accident
State police at Towanda recently investigated a one-car motor vehicle accident on Route 220 in Albany Township.
According to information from state police, a northbound 2006 Chevrolet Impala operated by Devin M. March, 20, of Elmira, N.Y., traveled off the right shoulder of the roadway into an embankment at about 5 p.m. Feb. 28. March was uninjured and wore a seatbelt, police said.
Police charged March with failure to stay in his lane, police said.
Police investigating copper theft
State police at Towanda are investigating the theft of copper piping from a residence in Towanda Township.
According to state police information, an unknown actor or actors forced their way into a Reuter Boulevard residence at about 11:20 a.m. Feb. 25. Once inside, the actor cut and removed copper piping, police said.

State police in Towanda are searching for a purse lost in Wysox Township.
According to information from state police, a woman reported losing her purse at around 3:30 p.m. Feb. 27 in the parking lot of the JC Penney store in the Bradford Towne Centre plaza on Route 6. The purse is gray in color and contained personal items, police said.

Police investigate Ulster crash
State police at Towanda recently investigated a two-car motor vehicle accident on Route 220 in Ulster Township.
According to information from state police, at about 7:26 a.m. Feb. 28, a southbound 2011 Nissan Sentra operated by Kaitlin C. Smith, 23, of Athens, struck the rear bumper of a 2006 Hyundai Sonata in front of her. Traffic had been stopped for a vehicle making a turn into a driveway, police said.
Neither Smith nor the operator of the Hyundai, 54-year-old Nancy J. Clark of Sayre, was injured, police said. Both drivers wore seatbelts, police said.
Police charged Smith with a traffic violation, police said.
The Nissan received disabling front bumper damage and was towed from the scene by Sutton's Towing, police said. Clark was able to drive the Hyundai from the scene, police said.
The Ulster-Sheshequin Fire Association assisted with traffic control at the scene, police said.
Police respond to DUI crash
A New Albany man was recently arrested by state police following investigation into a motor vehicle accident in Wyalusing Township.
According to information from state police at Towanda, Mark David Conner, 31, was charged following the two-car accident at Route 6 and Wyalusing-New Albany Road.
Police said that at about 7 p.m. Feb. 22, a gray 2001 Dodge Intrepid operated by Conner was traveling westbound on Route 6 and attempted to turn left onto Wyalusing-New Albany Road. The vehicle turned into the path of an eastbound blue 2008 Toyota Corolla and struck its rear driver side, police said.
Neither Conner nor the operator of the Toyota, a 32-year-old Wyalusing female, was injured, police said. Police took Conner into custody and charged him with driving while intoxicated, police said.
The Wyalusing Fire Department assisted at the scene, police said.
Man charged with fraud
A Gillett man was recently arrested by state police on a charge of access device fraud.
According to information from state police at Towanda, Russell Mathews, 21, obtained a female victim's checking account information and used it to make over $1,000 in unauthorized purchases between Oct. and Dec. 2012.
Mathews was remanded to the Bradford County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail, police said.
Police investigating burglary
State police at Towanda are investigating the theft of a revolver from a Columbia Township property.
According to state police information, Bryan Benninger, 21, of Troy, is accused of removing the revolver from a building located on a Snow Drift Road property. The theft occurred sometime between Nov. 20, 2012 and Feb. 15, police said.
A warrant has been issued for Benninger's arrest, police said. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact state police at (570) 265-2186.
