Canton man waives hearing

Jordan Thomas Fitch, 22, of Canton, waived his preliminary hearing to the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas on aggravated assault by vehicle while driving under the influence and other charges, according to the office of Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Wilcox of Troy.

The charges were for a one-vehicle crash that took place around 2 p.m. Feb. 7 on Upper Mountain Road in Canton Township, according to court papers. Police said he was traveling west and lost control of his vehicle, which collided with a tree.

The other charges were driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substance, selling or furnishing liquor or malt or brewed beverages to minors, corruption of minors, unsworn falsification to authorities, failing to drive on the right half of the roadway, careless driving, reckless driving, a safety belt violation, and a speeding violation.

Man waives hearing

Brian Lee Bastion, 43, of Route 414, Canton, has waived his preliminary hearing to the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substance, careless driving, and a lane violation filed following a one-vehicle crash Jan. 17 on Route 414 in Canton Township, according to the office of Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Wilcox of Troy.

An affidavit notes that police saw that a Chevrolet Corvette went off the road and struck a residence at 5250 Route 414. Bastion told police he lost control going around a turn, due to his tires and the moisture on the road.

Hearing waived

Brandon David Cole, 21, of Everts Drive, Troy, waived his preliminary hearing to the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substance, a lane violation, and careless driving for a one-vehicle crash Feb. 2 on Fallbrook Road in Troy Township, according to the office of Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Wilcox of Troy.

Police said a Chevrolet Impala was off the roadway, in a ditch, facing west.
