Gillett man charged with simple assault
Christopher Allen Rolls, 36, of 377 Roaring Run Rd., Gillett, faces a preliminary hearing at 3:30 p.m. June 19 before Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Wilcox on charges of simple assault and harassment for an assault that took place around 1 a.m. April 2 at his residence in Wells Township, according to court papers.
Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Michael Moser reported that Rolls caused bodily injury to Stacy Renee Mitchell, no age or address given, by throwing her to the ground, climbing on top of her, placing his hands around her neck, choking her, striking her in the face several times, pushing her into a wall, and throwing a cup at her, striking her in the back.
Wilcox said that Rolls was sent a summons.
Canton man charged with burglary
Matthew Gera Desrochers, 40, of 8607, Route 414, Canton, faces a preliminary hearing at 1 p.m. June 12 before Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Wilcox on charges of burglary, criminal trespass, and theft for an incident that took place between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. April 22 at 11 Lycoming St., Canton, according to court papers.
According to an affidavit, Jamie Dewolf, no age given, told Canton police that his residence at 11 Lycoming St., Apt. 2, had been burglarized, and a Schecter red guitar, an Ibanez white guitar, and his Alienware laptop were taken. Desrochers is accused of the theft of these items.
Wilcox said Desrochers was sent a summons.
