Police Briefs 5/4/2013
A Sayre man was recently charged with simple assault by borough police.
According to information filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Miner Leroy Farr, 40, was also charged with harassment and disorderly conduct.
Police said Farr pushed a female victim May 1 at a South Thomas Avenue location, causing her to receive a minor cut on her head.
Farr's preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 4.
Waverly police file charges
Waverly village police recently arrested the following people, according to a release from the Waverly Police Department:
Joseph Bruno, 20, of Waverly, on April 27, for unlawful possession of marijuana, following a traffic stop.
Margaret J. Garrity, 32, of Sayre, on April 28, for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operating a vehicle without stop lamps and operating without insurance, following a traffic stop.
Terrance O. Willis, 27, of Arcadia, La., on April 28, for harassment.
Lona D. Patty, 42, of South Waverly, for felony driving while intoxicated, felony aggravated driving while intoxicated, felony aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to use an interlock device. Patty was remanded to the Tioga County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
