Crash occurs in Asylum Township
Steven Scott Gee, 38, of Trout Run was arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol after he was involved in a motor vehicle accident Saturday in Asylum Township, police said.
Gee was driving south on U.S. Route 187 at a high rate of speed at 1:21 a.m. when he lost control of his 2005 Ford Focus, state police said.
The vehicle traveled off the road and struck multiple trees, police said.
Gee suffered a cut to his head, state police at Towanda said.
Two charged after engaging in physical contact in Franklin Twp.
Daisy and Jennifer Chilson, both of Monroeton, had an argument recently that escalated to physical contact, state police said.
Daisy Chilson, 22, pushed Jennifer Chilson, police said.
Jennifer Chilson, 38, punched Daisy Chilson in the face several times, police said.
The incident occurred at 1:30 p.m. on June 24 at a location on Grange Road in Franklin Township, police said.
Jennifer Chilson was charged with simple assault, while Daisy Chilson was cited for harassment, state police at Towanda said.
Wyalusing man injured in motorcycle accident
Ralph Schoonover, 39, of Wyalusing suffered a major injury when he was involved in a motorcycle accident at the intersection of Mercur Hill and Irish Ridge roads in Wysox Township, police said.
The accident at 8:23 a.m. on June 16, as Kenneth S. Bedford Jr. of Wysox was driving a 2012 Toyota Tundra south on Irish Hill Road, police said.
When Bedford reached the intersection with Mercur Hill Road, he stopped for a stop sign at the intersection, police said.
Bedford then proceeded into the intersection, and his vehicle was struck on its passenger side door by a 2000 Harley Davidson motorcycle, which was traveling east on Mercur Hill Road, police said.
Bedford, 53, was uninjured, police said.
Bedford was cited for failure to yield the right of way, police said.
No traffic citation was issued to Schoonover, who was operating the motorcycle, police said.
