Man charged in drug sting
Darryl Dewayne Hankins, 27, of Monroeton was recently charged with two counts of possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and two counts of criminal use of a communications facility.
According to police, on October 11 Hankins sold a quarter ounce of marijuana to an undercover police officer.
Hankins also sold a gram of cocaine to the same undercover police officer on Nov. 5, police said.
Both incidents occurred outside of the Dandy Mini Mart in Monroeton.
Bath salts found in car
Kyle Richard Lane, 28, of Wysox has been charged with possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without a valid license, and unauthorized use of vehicle registration relating to a Feb. 22 incident at Hawes Street and Merrill Parkway in North Towanda.
According to police, Lane was pulled over in Towanda after the registration on his vehicle did not match the 2003 GMC Sonoma he was driving.
When police searched Lane's car, they found a container with syringes, plastic baggies with white residue, a straw with white residue, a spoon with residue and burn marks and a black digital scale.
The white residue was then tested, which came back positive for bath salts.
Towanda woman attacks two
Davette Lynn Murray, 27, of Towanda has been charged with disorderly conduct and harassment for a physical altercation that occurred on May 19 at her Walnut Street residence in Towanda.
According to police, Murray became upset during an argument inside the house and struck Frank Almeida in the face with an open hand and scratched his neck and shoulders. Police said Murray also slapped Ruth Murray in the face during the incident.
