Burglary occurs in Standing Stone

A burglary has occurred at a flooded residence on Clagett Road in Standing Stone Township, police said.

Between Dec. 26 and June 24, one or more individuals forcibly entered the residence and stole a lawn mower, a trailer for a lawn mower, an ATV with plow, and several other items, police said.

The residence and stolen items belong to two males, ages 66 and 38, from West Wyoming, Pa., state police said.

"Name not required, just your information," the state police wrote in a press release that they issued about the burglary. "Up to $2,000 cash reward if your information results in an arrest."

No one injured in crash in Forks Twp.

Milissa Hammond, 32, of Muncy was uninjured when she was involved in a recent motor vehicle accident on state Route 87 in Forks Township, Sullivan County, police said.

The accident occurred at 8:55 a.m. on Sept. 5, as Hammond was driving north on Route 87, police said.

Hammond lost control of the vehicle on a left-hand curve in the roadway, and the vehicle traveled off the west side of the road and struck a rock wall, police said.

The accident occurred two-tenths of a mile south of Wrights View Road, according to the state police at Laporte.
