Criminal solicitation reported

State police at Towanda said a 14-year-old Troy girl reported that someone known to her asked her to send him inappropriate pictures of her and made sexual comments to her between approximately 10 p.m. May 4 and 3 a.m. May 5 in Troy.

Police said an investigation is ongoing.

Man charged with drug possession

Brandon M. Smith, 18, of Canton was has been charged with one count of possessing a small amount of marijuana for an incident that took place at 9:42 a.m. March 7 on Seeley Road in Canton Township, according to state police at Towanda.

Police said the charge was filed through District Court 42-3-01. No other details were provided.

Driveway damaged

State police at Towanda said the driveway of a 28-year-old Granville Summit man was damaged at 6:30 p.m. June 7 on Saxton Hill Road in Granville Township.

According to police, someone driving a gray Ford pickup spun their tires at the location, causing the damage. An investigation continues.

Medication removed

A 30-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman told state police at Towanda that someone removed medication between May 14-16 from property on Graham Road in Canton Township, by unknown means. Police said they have developed a suspect, who is under investigation.

Bush removed

A Roaring Branch man told state police at Towanda that someone removed a bush from his business, without paying, between May 17-18 on Springbrook Road in Canton Township.

Police said they have developed a suspect, who is under investigation.

Juvenile charged

State police at Towanda said Gordon Scott Miller, 43, of Wyalusing, and a male juvenile were involved in a verbal altercation at 9:20 p.m. April 27 on Scrib Meadow Road in Terry Township and the altercation escalated, when the juvenile punched Miller in the face with his fist and a cooking pot.

Police said charges were filed against the juvenile.

Man charged with harassment

State police at Towanda said that Keith Edward Morrison, 54, of Granville Summit, was charged with harassment after an incident at 6:15 p.m. May 29 on Route 514 in Granville Township in which he is accused of throwing two rocks at the barn of a 60-year-old Granville Summit man, causing his dogs to bark.

Items found

State police at Towanda said vehicle and house keys were found outside Jan's Beauty Salon at 1 p.m. June 1 on Main Street in New Albany.

The items were left in the custody of state police at are stored in the property room, pending positive identification by a claimant.

Fuel removed

State police at Towanda said someone tipped over a 500-gallon fuel tank between 4 p.m. May 29 and 9 a.m. May 30 in the 1000 block of Underhill Road in Tuscarora Township and removed an excessive amount of fuel, by cutting a diesel hose off another tank and using it to siphon the fuel.

Camper burglary reported

State police at Towanda said someone entered a garage at approximately 10:20 p.m. June 4 in the 1000 block of Updike Road in Wells Township, and while inside the garage, forcibly entered a camper, which was parked in the garage. Nothing was taken from within the dwelling or the camper, police said.

Battery taken

State police at Towanda said they are investigating the theft of a battery from a piece of equipment that was left unattended sometime between 5 p.m. May 30 and noon June 2 at the South Creek Township Building in South Creek Township.

Man charged with simple assault

An Athens man was recently charged with simple assault by Athens Township police.

According to papers filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Michael Lloyd Chandler, 25, was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

Police said Chandler hit two juveniles with his hand June 8 at a McCloe Lane residence.

Chandler's preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 22.

Charges filed against Athens man

State police at Towanda recently filed charges of reckless endangerment and simple assault on an Athens man following an incident in Litchfield Township.

According to state police, George Lewis Jr., 72, was charged after firing a round from a rifle in the direction of a victim's vehicle during a dispute at about 5:50 p.m. May 30 at a North Rome Road residence.

Retail theft

A Towanda woman was recently charged with retail theft by Athens Township police.

According to information filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Jessica Lynn Kepner, 28, removed $201.19 worth of clothing items from the Walmart store on Elmira Street at about 1:45 p.m. May 23.

Kepner's preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 15.

No injuries in three-car MVA

State police at Towanda recently investigated a three-car motor vehicle accident in Ulster Township.

According to state police, at about noon May 29, a 2000 Ford Focus operated by 27-year-old Ashley A. Perry of Towanda failed to yield to oncoming traffic while emerging from Woodpecker Lane onto Route 220. The vehicle struck a southbound 1997 Ford F-150 on Route 220, police said.

The truck then spun clockwise into the northbound lane, sideswiping a Jeep Cherokee with its tailgate, police said.

The Focus and F-150 had disabling damage, while the Jeep had minor driver's side damage, police said. No injuries were reported.

Police cited Perry for a violation of vehicles entering or crossing the roadway, police said. Police were assisted at the scene by the Ulster division of Tri-Township Ambulance, the Ulster-Sheshequin Fire Association and Furman and Jones Towing.

Harassment charge filed

A Gillett man was recently cited for harassment by state police at Towanda.

According to state police, at about 1:45 p.m. June 17, 25-year-old Thomas Earl Allen pushed and choked an adult female at a location on Cowboy Lane in Smithfield Township. Allen was cited for harassment in district court, police said.

Police investigating fraud

State police at Towanda are investigating a case of access device fraud against a Litchfield Township man.

According to state police, an unknown actor used the man's debit card to make multiple purchases June 3 from Microsoft Xbox Live in Washington. Police continue to investigate.

Man charged with assault

State police at Towanda recently incarcerated a Gillett man following a May 26 incident in Ridgebury Township.

According to state police, Douglas Edward Smith, 37, was taken into custody May 27 on charges of simple assault, endangering the welfare of children and harassment.

Police said Smith reportedly physically assaulted an 11-year-old boy known to him at a location on Monkey Run Road.

Smith was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw and remanded to the Bradford County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail, police said. Smith is scheduled to appear July 16 before Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Wilcox for a preliminary hearing.

State police investigate child rape

State police are investigating the rape of a five-year-old female in Ridgebury Township.

According to state police at Towanda, police are investigating an allegation that the child was sexually assaulted by an unidentified male individual known to her between May and June 2014. Investigation into the allegation is ongoing, police said.
