Missing Sullivan County woman located
A 50-year-old woman reported missing from Elkland Township in Sullivan County has been located, police said. Karen Lynn Fraim hab been missing since she left her family's residence on Jan. 31 and went to the Williamsport area, police said.
State police reported that Fraim was located on March 5. No further information was made available.
Hit-and-run crash occurs in Wysox Twp.
A vehicle operated by Terence Dolan of Wysox struck a parked vehicle as it was backing out of a parking stall in the RiverStone Inn's parking lot in Wysox Township, police said.
Both vehicles sustained minor damage during the accident, which occurred at 11:55 p.m. on Feb. 17, state police said.
Dolan, 77, failed to attempt to locate the owner of the parked vehicle or leave his personal information attached to the parked vehicle before fleeing the scene, according to the state police at Towanda.
Towanda-area women faces drug charges
Two women face drug charges after a search warrant was executed on a Towanda residence, police said.
Joan Marie Garinger, 42, of Towanda has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a small amount of marijuana for personal use, police said.
Deborah J. Dalton, 47, of Wysox RR2 has been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
The charges stem from Dec. 21 incident in which the state police executed a search warrant on Garinger's residence, police said.
Police said they found hypodermic needles and metal spoons with a white residue in Garinger's bedroom and bathroom.
Also found during the search were Oxycodone and methadone pills, and a small plastic bag of marijuana, police said.
Garinger has been sent a summons which orders her to appear before Towanda Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark on March 20 for a preliminary hearing.
In Dalton's bedroom, which is located in the residence, police found a hypodermic needle and a metal spoon with residue and a very small piece of cotton ball stuck to it., police said.
The following person was recently charged with driving under the influence in Bradford County:
Brandon Daniel Thomas, 31, of Upper St. Clair, Pa., by the state police, on Sept. 26, on U.S. Route 220 in Monroe Borough. A test revealed that there was Oxycodone in Thomas' blood at the time of his arrest. Thomas, who lives on Red Fern Drive, has been sent a summons ordering him to appear for a preliminary hearing on March 27 before Towanda Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark.
Laceyville man charged with sex crimes
Douglas J. Carey, 25, of Laceyville has been charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sexual abuse of children, and corruption of minors by the state police relating to incidents which occurred between Jan. 18 and Jan. 28 in Wilmot Township.
According to police, Carey is accused of text messaging a 13-year-old female victim and soliciting her to engage in sexual activity with him. Carey asked the child to send nude photos to him, and also sent a sexual explicit photograph of himself to her, police said.
Carey was remanded to the Bradford County Correctional Facility in lieu of $85,000 on March 4.
