Monroeton man charged with posses

Christopher George Carlisle, 25, of Monroeton was recently charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and misbranding a pill bottle, police said.

The charges stem from an incident on Monday where state troopers were called to a residence on Woodside Road in Monroe Township for a possible overdose, police said.

The troopers located some narcotics and drug paraphernalia in the residence, according to the state police at Towanda.

Man wanted for Megan's Law violation in Bradford County

State police at Towanda said they are trying to locate Timothy Jay Adams, whose last known address is on East Street in Towanda.

Adams, 34, is wanted for failure to comply with Megan's Law, police said.

Adams failed to register quarterly on Sept. 20 as required at the state police barracks in North Towanda Township, as he is a Tier 3 sexual offender due to a conviction for sexual assault, police said.

As a result, criminal charges were filed and an arrest warrant was obtained for Adams, police said.

Adams has other arrest warrants for similar violations of Megan's Law, state police said.

Towanda man faces drug charges

Bryant Lee Engle, 24, of Towanda was recently charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, and public drunkenness, police said.

The charges stem from an Oct. 17 incident near the intersection of North Fourth and Chestnut streets in Towanda in which Engle was in possession of a "loaded" hypodermic needle containing bath salts, police said.

At the time, Engle was also in possession of an used empty hypodermic needle and a metal spoon with a residue, Towanda police said.

Teens charged with underage drinking

Valerie Elizabeth Samaniego, 18, and Pedro Alberto Trevino, 19, have been charged by state police with underage drinking and harassment relating to an Oct. 19 incident on York Penn Lane in Stevens Township.

According to police, Samaniego and Trevino both pushed each other multiple times before police arrived on scene.

Police said the incident occurred at approximately 11:41 p.m..

Windshield damaged

State police said a vehicle parked outside of a residence on Bowling Alley Road in Wyalusing Township had its windshield damaged on the night of Oct. 19.

Police said the incident is still under investigation.

Business vandalized

State police said an unknown suspect damaged the serving window to Emily's Weiner Wagon, a business located along State Route 187 in Rome Borough.

The incident occurred sometime between Oct. 10 and Oct. 14, police said.

Attempted burglary

State police said sometime between Oct. 12 and Oct. 16 unknown suspects attempted to enter a residence along LeRaysville Road in Windham Township.

Police said someone tried to enter the residence by attempting to pry the door open with a crowbar.

The suspect was not able to gain entry to the house and fled in an unknown direction.

Woman arrested on drug charges

A woman was recently arraigned on charges from state police related to three sales of controlled substances in 2012.

According to information filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Owanda M. Zimmerman, 41, was charged in three separate incidents that occurred between July 20 and Aug. 17, 2012 in Athens Township. Zimmerman was last known to live in Elmira, N.Y. and at the Wyoming County Jail in Tunkhannock, according to police.

Police charged Zimmerman with criminal conspiracy to commit possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility after police said she sold cocaine to a confidential informant on July 20, 2012.

Zimmerman was also charged with criminal conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility after police said she sold heroin to an undercover law enforcement officer on Aug. 3, 2012.

Police also charged Zimmerman with criminal conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and criminal use of a communication facility after police said she sold methamphetamine to a confidential informant on Aug. 17, 2012.

Zimmerman was arraigned Oct. 21 and remanded to the Bradford County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail. Zimmerman's preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 5.

Waverly police make arrests

Waverly village police recently made the following arrests, according to information from the Waverly Police Department:

Susan M. Whitmire, 62, of Lockwood, N.Y., for driving while intoxicated, driving while under the influence of drugs, consumption of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, failure to keep right and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Jessica L. Gesford, 31, of Waverly, for petit larceny, after taking money from a local business.

Richard K. Brennan, 35, of Elmira, N.Y., for criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Police said bath salts were found in Brennan's possession.

Bruce L. Bostwick, 65, and Johanna L. Bostwick, 58, both of Waverly, for criminal possession of a controlled substance and petit larceny, following a complaint that they stole a purse left behind at a local business.

Mark J. Roberts, 32, of Sayre, for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, following a traffic stop.

Seamus V. Hogan, 26, of Waverly, for driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 or more and speeding, following a traffic stop.

Sheena Shay, 30, of Nichols, for criminal possession of a controlled substance, after she was arrested on a warrant.

Derek J. Wilkins, 26, of Elmira, N.Y., for criminal possession of a controlled substance and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, following a traffic stop.

Rory D. Sweeney, 31, of Wilkes-Barre, for driving while intoxicated, following a traffic stop.

Jason Relyea, 23, of Waverly, on a warrant for unlawful imprisonment.

A 17-year-old male, of Waverly, on a warrant for burglary.
