Cigarettes stolen

State police at Towanda said cigarettes were taken from Smokin' Joe's Tobacco Shop, Inc. sometime between 9:30 p.m. July 31 and 9:45 p.m. Aug. 1 on Route 14 in South Creek Township.

Police said someone unknown forcibly entered the business and removed the cigarettes.

Retail theft reported

State police at Towanda said that an unknown female removed items from AIFS Beverage without paying sometime between 3:50 p.m. and 3:55 p.m. June 16 on Route 14 in Canton Township.

Rubbish scattered

State police at Towanda said that someone dumped house rubbish on Jones Mills Road sometime between Aug. 26 and Sept. 4 in Burlington Township.

Police said the victim was a 61-year-old man.

Vehicle shot

A 33-year-old Canton woman told state police at Towanda that someone shot her vehicle while it was parked at her residence sometime between 9 p.m. Sept. 8 and 10 a.m. Sept. 12 on Grover Road in Canton Township.

DUI charges

The following people were recently charged with driving while under the influence in Bradford County:

Daron Hakeem Moore, 23, of Mildred, by Athens Township police, on Sept. 6, on Elmira Street in Sayre. Moore has also been charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance. Moore performed poorly on a field sobriety test and agreed to submit blood for a chemical test, police said. Police found two packages of synthetic marijuana in Moore's car, police said. Moore was arraigned Sept. 7 and remanded to the Bradford County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail. Moore is scheduled to appear before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw Sept. 18 for a preliminary hearing.

Child endangerment charge

A Waverly woman was recently charged with endangering the welfare of a child by Athens Township police.

According to information filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Michelle N. Calabrese, 40, was also charged with leaving an unattended child in a motor vehicle.

Police said Calabrese left a two-year-old child unattended in an unlocked vehicle in a township parking lot for about nine minutes on Aug. 19.

Calabrese's preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 16.

Waverly woman arrested

A Waverly woman was recently arrested by Sayre borough police on a charge of possession of an offensive weapon.

According to papers filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Heather L. Shaffer, was also charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Police said Shaffer was a passenger in a vehicle stopped by officers for having an expired Texas registration. Shaffer was known to have a warrant out for her arrest through the Sayre Borough Police Department, according to police.

A search of Shaffer's person turned up a small glassine baggie containing bath salts and a spring-assisted straight razor, a prohibited offensive weapon, police said.

Shaffer was arraigned Sept. 9 by Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark and remanded to the Bradford County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail. Shaffer's preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 18.

Man charged with harassment

A Sugar Run man was recently charged with harassment by Pennsylvania state police.

According to information from state police at Towanda, Thomas R. Tenasco, 44, was charged after he followed a female victim with his vehicle Sept. 6 to the parking lot of the P&G Credit Union in Wyalusing Borough. Tenasco then repeatedly communicated with the victim in a threatening manner, police said.

Police investigate criminal mischief

Pennsylvania state police at Towanda are investigating a criminal mischief case in Smithfield Township.

According to state police information, an unknown actor or actors poured an unknown substance in the gas tank of a vehicle parked in a driveway on Springfield Road sometime on Sept. 4 or 5.

Juvenile accused of indecent assault

A 13-year-old male juvenile was recently charged with one count of indecent assault through juvenile probation.

According to information from state police at Towanda, the New Albany boy was charged after having indecent contact with a juvenile female between May and June of 2012.

Toolbox stolen

Pennsylvania state police in Towanda are investigating the theft of a toolbox from a location in Ulster Township.

According to state police information, an unknown actor removed a yellow plastic toolbox from a Creek Dairy Road location between Sept. 3 and 4. The toolbox contained various electrical fencing tools, police said.

Cash taken from Wyalusing business

Pennsylvania state police are investigating the theft of petty cash from a Wyalusing Township business.

According to information from state police in Towanda, an unknown actor or actors forcibly entered the ProCare Physical Therapy building on Complex Drive sometime between Aug. 31 and Sept. 4. The actor removed $420 in cash, police said.
