Duo found with marijuana
April Marie Halstead, 32, of Laceyville and Michael Edward Walter, 50, of Wyalusing have recently been charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia relating to a Sept. 5 incident on Spring Hill Road in Tuscarora Township.
The arrest comes after a Bradford County Sheriff's Deputy attempted to serve Walter with a civil document and found the two smoking marijuana in a vehicle.
Police said both individuals claimed ownership of the marijuana that was found. Walter stated that he brought a "joint" and Halstead said a bag of marijuana found in the car was hers.
Halstead and Walter have been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton on Oct. 1 for a preliminary hearing.
Man charged with theft
Darrell Dennis Mosier, 25, of Rome has been charged with theft by unlawful taking or disposition and receiving stolen property relating to a Sept. 13 incident at D&R Steel in Wysox Township.
According to police, Mosier stole a golf cart from D&R Steel property and sold it on Sept. 15 for $600. The golf cart was found by police and returned to the owner on Sept. 17, police said.
Mosier was arraigned on Sept. 17 by Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton and released on $2,500 unsecured bail.
Mosier has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Oct. 15 before Judge Wheaton.
The following people were recently charged with driving while under the influence in Bradford County:
Gerald Richard Vanderpool, 53, of Rome, by state police, on Aug. 3, on French Road in Litchfield Township.
Vanderpool was also charged with driving without proper registration and careless driving.
A blood test revealed that on the night of his arrest Vanderpool had a blood alcohol content of .16 percent.
Vanderpool has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton on Nov. 12 for a preliminary hearing.
