Craftsmen of the Endless Mountains to host craft show

Come celebrate our nation's Independence in style at the 34th Annual Country Arts & Craft Show July 3 and 4. What better way than to spend some time with the area's craftsmen and artisans, whose creativeness, thrift, devotion to their craft embody the American spirit of independence.

The show is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Dushore Railroad Station on Railroad Street, Dushore, Pa. This event is held rain or shine and admission and parking are free.

Among the vendors slated are Carolyn Sechrist, of Williamsport, Pa, who makes small wooed crafts and hand made soap; Bryan Brady, of Stone Arch Woodcrafts in Lopez Pa., who makes quilt racks, benches, and candle holders;

Lura Trossello of New Era Creations, who makes hand spun yarn and knit items; Lorraine Lewis of Rainy Day Knit N Sew, Rome, Pa., who makes quilts, fabric crafts and primitives; Marian Thurston of Towanda Pa., who makes welcome lamps, etched glassware and florals; J. Robert Nuss of State Collage Pa., who makesleather goods for black powder shooting, pouches and wallets; Toni Madden of Towanda Pa., with Primitive Country Crafts; Sassy Albert Soaps of Tunkhannock, Pa., natural soaps and lotions; Craig Fowler, Eagles Mere, Pa., handmade wooden spoons and other kitchen items; Lisa Reiser, of Muncy Valley Pa., pottery, wind chimes and button paintings; Terri Pellitier of Colonial Quilts, quilted items, table runners, and hand towels; Lynda Hatches of Eagles Mere Pa., silver jewelry, metal smith jewelry; New Beginnings of Canton, Pa., bird houses, planters and stands;

Linda Conrad of Nana Knits in Elmira N.Y., crochet, knits and wool crafts; Sylvia Ellis of Hawk Hill Farm in Wysox, Pa., goat milk soap; Hands on Recovery of Tunkhannock Pa., eco-friendly creations by artisans with disabilities; Fayne Passmore, original landscapes, hand painted stemware resin and wood; Sue Lamb of Delectable Deserts in Ulster Pa., baked products, scones and whoopee pies; Tom Holbert of Rome, Pa., bird houses, barn board framed pictures, and turkey calls.

Many participants will be demonstrating their skills at the event.

In addition, the Historic Railroad Station will be open with even more area craftsmen and artisans displaying their creations. Picture it here Framery is hosting an art show and sale. Artists present will include Ron Beach, Bob Crain, Joe Cesa and Doug Heravlow.

This event is being sponsored by Craftsmen of the Endless Mountains, Northeast Pennnsylvania's foremost arts and craft guild. The guild is a non-profit corporation serving Northeast Pennsylvania and bordering New York State counties, whose purpose is to promote the artisans and craftsmen from the Endless Mountain region. Members come from Bradford, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga, and Luzerne counties in Pennsylvania and Tioga, and Chemung counties in New York.
