About 30 brides-to-be showed up Sunday for the 2010 Daily & Sunday Review Bridal Fashion Show.
The event featured 21 area vendors in JFK Hall at St. Agnes School that provided displays, samples and advice to those of a matrimonial mind, as well as those simply wishing to view the flora, fauna and other items associated with a wedding.
In addition, a number of people also took a "turn on the catwalk" Sunday, modeling gorgeous wedding gowns, fancy tuxedos and jackets, and beautiful dresses during the fashion show.

Organizer Gayle Leonard, who works as an advertising representative for The Farmer's Friend, said that although she would have liked to have seen more brides-to-be show up at the event, she thought things went well overall. Leonard explained this is the fourth year The Review has sponsored the bridal fashion show, which is held on the first Sunday in March. Leonard said she's been in the bridal business for about 30 years - making bridal gowns, tuxedos, and other dresses as a seamstress - so she was pressed into service four years ago when the project was proposed.
Leonard said The Review sponsors the project to generate good public relations, and to help support their vendors.
"A lot of our vendors provide support to us on a yearly basis," she said.
"It was a good show," Leonard continued about the event. "Everyone was nice and easy to work with. There was a nice flow of traffic throughout the day. We had nice vendors."
But it requires a lot of work to make such an event a success. Leonard said they start in December, putting together a bridal book. They contact the vendors and ask if they want to be part of the bridal show, she said. Then they work at continually coordinating everything until the day of the event, she said.
The bridal show is helpful to perspective brides who are planning their weddings, Leonard said.
"You have all your wedding planning people all in one place," she said. "You don't have to go to 10 different shops in 10 different locations. They are all under one roof."
"A lot of people there were very helpful in and coming up with ideas," said Ridgebury resident Angela Daniels, who is getting married on Sept. 11.
Leonard also thanks the folks at St. Agnes for their support.
"The people here at JFK Hall and St. Agnes School are just so helpful," she said. "They are tremendous to work with."
