WYSOX TOWNSHIP - The Bradford County coroner has identified the motorcyclist who was killed in an accident on Friday on U.S. Route 6 in Wysox Township.

Edward Lee Lindquist, 45, of Pipher Street, Wysox Township, who was operating a 1999 Harley Davidson motorcycle, was pronounced dead at the scene by Bradford County Coroner Thomas Carman, according to a press release from the coroner.

The accident occurred at 10:25 a.m. as Lindquist was traveling south on Pipher Street and a 2005 Volvo tractor trailer was traveling east on Route 6, state police said.

According to state police, Lindquist attempted to make a right turn from Pipher street onto Route 6 westbound, but his turn was too wide. While making the turn, the motorcycle traveled into the eastbound lane of Route 6 and the motorcyclist lost control of his vehicle.

Lindquist traveled into the path of the tractor trailer, which was operated by Jose M. Pedro of Newark, N.J., the coroner said.

Pedro was unable to stop his vehicle, which collided with the motorcycle, according to the state police at Towanda.

Pedro was uninjured.

Lindquist was wearing a helmet, the coroner said.

The truck's trailer was empty at the time of the accident, Carman said.

Lindquist died of multiple blunt force traumatic injuries, the coroner said.
