FFA alumni chapter proposed in Canton

The community is invited to attend a meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 12 to discuss starting a Canton FFA alumni charter for the community.
According to a news release, interested people should meet in Room 122 of Canton Junior-Senior High School at 509 E. Main St., Canton. They can enter in the rear of the building opposite the high school greenhouse.
In order to start a local chapter, 10 individuals are needed and officers will need to be elected. The chapter also will need to discuss interests and goals of the group.
This meeting will be followed by an ag advisory meeting for the Canton High School Agriculture Program at 7 p.m. Anyone who wishes to attend that meeting is welcome as well. The ag advisory meeting will review the agriculture program's activities and goals and will include other business.
