Six people were arrested Thursday in Franklindale as the Bradford County Sheriff's Office along with Pennsylvania State Police served a single warrant at the residence of William McClintic and Kelly Place.

Authorities arrived at the house searching for fugitive Mitch Johnson, who failed to appear for sentencing at the Bradford County Courthouse for felony aggravated assault. As a result of the search, police apprehended not only Mitch Johnson, but four others who also had outstanding warrants.

Brian Taber was taken into custody for violation of a court order, while Christopher M. Clark, Tanya Y. Kithcart and Joel Vanderpool were apprehended for failing to appear for a contempt conference.

All five individuals were transported from the scene to the Bradford County Correctional Facility and will remain incarcerated until a scheduled bench warrant hearing.

At approximately 4 p.m. Thursday, members of the Bradford County Sheriff's Office received a tip that Mitch Johnson was at the residence of Kelly Place. Authorities arrived at Place's residence and encountered Mitch Johnson running out of the back door of the house. Johnson was then taken into custody without further incident.

Police searched Johnson and found a set of brass knuckles and a glass pipe. Charges are currently pending against Johnson for possession of a prohibited offensive weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Place was then placed under arrest for harboring Johnson, a fugitive, because she was aware he was wanted by the Bradford County Sheriff's Office. Place was charged with hindering apprehension of a wanted individual and possession of approximately .9 grams of bath salts. Place was also in possession of a hypodermic needle and spoon, bringing further charges against her.

Place was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Wilcox and placed in the Bradford County Correctional Facility on $65,000 bail.
