Four arrested on drug charges in Waverly
Waverly police recently arrested four people as the result of an ongoing investigation into illegal drug activity in the village.
According to information from Waverly police, Jeremy M. Frisbie, 29, of Waverly, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, driving while ability impaired, and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
Nicholas Pernetti, 29, of Rochester, N.Y., was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and false impersonation, according to police. Pernetti was also arrested on a warrant for a charge of criminal sale of a drug, police said.
Christopher MacNeal, 25, of Waverly, and Novajo Wright, 25, of Sayre, were each charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, according to police.
Frisbie and Pernetti are absconders from parole, according to police.
Bath salts, methamphetamine, narcotic pills and needles were seized during the arrest, police said.
The four were arrested as the result of a special detail to combat illegal drug use and intoxicated driving in Waverly, police said.
Frisbie was sent to the Tioga County jail on his parole warrant, police said. Pernetti was sent to the jail in lieu of $35,000 bail, while Wright and MacNeal were issued tickets to appear in Village of Waverly court, police said.
An investigation is ongoing and further arrests are expected, police said.
