Free pumpkin painting and savings
Community Bank (formally First Liberty Bank) and Ben Franklin Crafts have teamed up to provide free pumpkin painting for kids for the Halloween parade on Oct. 26, in Towanda.
The free pumpkin painting will start at 5 p.m. and run until supplies run out.
They usually get about 100 pumpkins for this event. Some years there are a few left over and sometimes they run out. It's better to show up a little early than to wait until after the parade.
The pumpkin painting will be located under the porch at Ben Franklin Crafts and will start at 5 p.m. sharp. They usually host our free make and take it in their classroom, but the classroom won't be available that evening.
They have a special event planned which will be announced only during the Halloween parade and will be located in the classroom.
It's something that hasn't been done before and it is sure to be a big hit, and that is all that can be said about it at this time, you will have to come watch the Halloween parade to see what Ben has up his sleeve for this his Halloween surprise.
Ben Franklin Crafts will also be running a midnight madness sale that night where everything in the store will be 20 percent off from 5 p.m. to midnight. So come out and watch the annual Halloween Parade, paint a free pumpkin, save at Ben's big midnight madness sale, and see what special surprise Ben has in store for the parade watchers.
The Purple Rooster, located at 513 Main St., will also be offering savings that night. They will be open until 8 p.m. and offering 10 percent off storewide.
